Somehow, Hoenn seems a little small in this. And the Orre location is a nice idea - but it doesn't correspond very well with real-world Japan. And Unova is where it should be, way to the side, though it doesn't correspond with TR's maps in that one episode. If you even care about those maps.
It seems like there are two kinds of people: Those who make maps with Almia and Fiore close together, but not connected to anything else, and those who make Almia connect up with Sinnoh, which is probably better in terms of corresponding with Japan.
And the third kind of people, who just look at other people's maps and not make any maps of their own. I am the third kind. Fear me.

Since I had no idea how to make a map from scratch, I took several hours and went into paint and rearranged the things on the map someone posted before. You're right though, Hoenn does look a bit small for some reason. I chose that location for Orre because, in Colloseum and XD, the Pokemon there are mostly from Hoenn and Johto, so I figured it would make sense to be closest to those two regions.
I'm not particularly sure what to make of Almia and Fiore's locations. I've heard both of those theories before. The original map had them together like they are in the one I tweaked, so I just left them. It could possible go on the southwest end of Sinnoh though. Normally I'm the third kind as well, but I just took a try.. Originally for fun, then I just decided to share. haha

Just why does the pokemon world's location have to make up to japan's I know that the regions are based on real life locations but still.
@gryffindor1991 I had a theory that Almia and Fiore are to the north of the other regions, because they seemed colder, with Oblivia to the south, my reasoning is that Manaphy can not be hasted in those regions because it is too cold, and have to be sent to sinnoh or a different region to do so.

@gryffindor1991 If you take in to account the orangle Islands you have to include the map from the anime in BW since the are part of the same canon and as that map will show you there is a BUNCH of shit around Unova including two Scandinavias.

I agree with you. I believe there are a few hints in the game that imply this as well. The one that really sticks out is when you talk to a NPC (forgot where) and they are talking about the older regions and that they are across the ocean they are staring at and they are facing east. The other hints in the game escape me at the moment.

While Unova may be based off New york I think that the pokemon world is a different planet as far as geography goes so what the region is based off of wouldn't hold any ground as far as how far away a place is from the other regions and its geographic position as well

I know this was posted a long time ago, but I like your map. One thing though, I wonder if Orre would go on the same continent as Unova, since they are both based on places in the USA and they are both far away from other regions

How strange! I don't remember seeing this but I moved Fiore to almost exactly the same location on my map a few months ago.

What if they run out of space? I mean, the planet can't just get bigger!
(Suddenly a Pokemon movie 17 is released, and it's about a Pokemon that suddenly makes the world larger without affecting the gravity.)

But, there is always a way to make the Pokemon world bigger. I suggest:
