    Default Pokémon and travel

So if you could travel around the pokémon world with no gyms and no contests, just travel, which pokémon team would you take and why?
    I would choose
Pikachu because it is a fast pokémon that can be outside the pokéball all the time
Nidoking because it is very strong and can use dig
Arcanine because you can ride it and is a fire type so it's good for a cold weather
Pidgeot at two times the speed of sound it is a pocket fighter jet
Lapras good for long sea trips
Primeape for a little more muscle just in case

Tropius and Bibarel. You can go anywhere with them, no matter how scrapped the terrain is. No matter what obstacles you might find. Tropius even provides food! The ultimate traveling partners.
    lol I got bored.

    Fearow-fighter helicopter
Furret-It's charge beam can blow stuff up that's in my way
    Gyarados-water travel
    Ariados-miscellanious awesomeness when required

This is the team that I would take.

Scizor- One of my favorite pokemon and a good companion for out of pokeball.
Lapras- I love Lapras! Besides, you could ride them to cross oceans and big lakes and things like that.
Flygon- Another awesome pokemon that you could fly around with.
Arcanine- Another one of my favorites that you could ride around.
Typhlosion- Another awesome companion that could (like the person above said) warm you up in cold weather
Tyranitar- Awesome pokemon to get out of dangerous situations
    Croconaw is officially claimed!

Bibarel-Because it can learn many useful HMs. It can help me with water travel, break, move, and climb rocks and cut trees.
Celebi-Because I can travel in time with it.
Sazandora-Because it's extremely powerful and can fly.
Arcanine-Because it's fast, good for land travel and can warm me up in case of cold weather.
Lapras-Because it's perferct for water travel.

    Lol. Doctor Who much?
Lucario, Dragonite and Lapras. First 2 because they're awesome, Lapras because it surfs.
Look at my tiny avatar and right-aligned signature.
Gaze upon them and tremble, for they are good.

Now that I think about it, no matter what the age, a Celebi would draw attention to itself as well as our out-of-period clothing. Sure, Celebi could probably compensate the language barrier with its psychic abilities, but as for disguising I'd probably use Zoroark. It's Pokedex entries allude to its abilities to cloak multiple objects in an illusion and not just itself.

    i'd take:

1 - Edenangel the Jalorda (M) - as my best friend/partner, regular battler, fast attacker, and i could mount him like This guy:

    http://images4.wikia.nocookie.net/__cb20101013103961/fairytail/pl/images/thumb/9/9d/554px-CobaandCuberos.JPG/300px-554px-CobaandCuberos.JPG

it might not have wings, but it'd be nice if it could use his collar thing to glide small distances, so yeah.

2 - Blackdragon the *shiny* Charizard (M) - flyer and capable fighter, it could also warm me in cold weathers.

3 - Belzebub the Doryuuzu (M) - Powerhouse, and it can use Dig for tunneling, as well as being quite defensive aswell.

4 - Plenessa the Lapras (F) - pretty much the best Pokémon for crossing water and also doesn't get tired from it, is a capable fighter and a tank aswell.

5 - Bason the Baffuron (M) - very strong, good for riding, reliable fighter, runs/gallops fast even having low attacking speed.

6 - Houfox the *Shiny Alakazam (M) - very smart, resourceful battler, good for defending me using its psychic prowesses, and quite strong and fast too.
