Thread: Pikachu with black stripes?

Has anyone heard of a Pikachu plush with black stripes? Is it a bootleg product or something else?

I'm not sure if I can get a picture, because I don't know if my friend still can put pictures on her computer.

I don't think I've ever seen one with black stripes, but I used to have one with dark green stripes, pink cheeks, and really dark purple ear tips.

I have a shiny Pikachuu, because its stripes are orange and shiny. I also have one normal, an old one (looks like the classic fat and cute pikachuu).

My friend from back in the day had a Butterfree plush that had no eyespots, claimed it was a rare factory defect, or something. It could be something like that.

I doubt it was a factory defect, toys like that are made cheaply and are made to ressemble characters from popular fandom (in this case, Pokemon) but to avoid lawsuits (as they were not affiliated with 4Kids or Nintendo) they had to change their appearance so much that children could tell what they were but at the same time didn't look too much like the Pikachu we know and love/hate (delete as applicable).
