    Two words: MR. MIME.

    I mean, really, what?

YouTube projects advertised are in early development and subject to change.

For me, it's gotta be Haunter's Japanese name, "Ghost." What puts it over names like "Fire" (Moltres) for me is that the Japanese spelling for the Ghost type (well, it's called "Ghost" there too) is the same as the Japanese spelling for the Pokemon name "Ghost." It's literally Ghost the Ghost type. "Fire" in "Fire-type" in Japan is spelled differently than the Pokemon name "Fire."

Seel... seal... a lot of Japanese names are even worse, but for English names, where this is our native language? Yeah. Mr. Mime is also pretty fantastically bad.

The worst is DEFINITELY Darkrai. Oh hey, let's make a Dark Legendary... how can we get this across? Let's call them Darkrai! That's BRILLIANT!
Actually, "Rai", if I'm not mistaken, means thunder in Japanese.
So it means "Dark Thunder", or "Black Lightning". (Black Lightning is one of my favorite Darkrai nicknames, actually)

I think Persian and Seel are some of the most uncreative. They're just the names of real animals.

Yes, depending on how it's written, "rai" can mean "thunder". But considering Darkrai has nothing to do with thunder / lightning it more likely comes from a different "rai". Actually, according to Bulbapedia, it probably comes from "kurai" which can mean "dark" (which makes a lot more sense).

Another vote for Seel and Dewgong

And of course plenty of Gratuitous English in the Japanese names.
The weirdest is probably those three birds: Thunder, Fire, and...

It is Klinklang. Learn the name first.
