Thread: Most over rated pokemon.

Any Pseudo Legendary. They're good, yes. But why does every single trainer online have to use them? Does nobody have any creativity or originality any more?

Those aside, I have to agree with Charizard. Just because he was your first starter does not mean he is a good Pokemon. Once Stealth Rock is up (and it will be) that thing goes down instantly.

Eeveelutions and Lucario.

Much as I hate to admit it that thing results in over a million more hits than Mewtwo in any search.

In terms of the new kids to the franchise, the star Pokemon in whatever the last new movie was. I browsed the Cartoon Network forum a few months ago just to see how terrible it was, and I saw a Favorite Pokemon topic. Of course, a lot of posts went "ZOROARK CUZ HE'S DA STRONGEST!!!!" ... Kind of reminds me how my group of friends that thought Rayquaza and Deoxys were the best back when movie 7 was new. xD

I searched SSB4 roster and Mewtwo was in about 98% of them . Some of them don't have Lucario , I don't see why Mewtwo should come back . It's overrated and hideous , I'm glad they took it out.

How come every pseudo-legendaries are over rated? They ARE powerful, no doubt about that. Same goes to Mewtwo and Lucario.

In terms of competitive play, Lucario and Mewtwo are by no means overated in anyway. they're beasts. But i think you didn't mean it in terms of online play?

IMO the most overrated competitive pokemon is Skarmory. It's SO easy to take down, does nothing back to your team, and can easily be taken down by the right physical attack. Both my lucario and infernape 2KO it with CC, so whats the point of it? i've never understood lol

also, not a pokemon, but stealth rock is so overrated. People build teams to resist it but it just doesn't need resisiting, it's 12% of your health. why waste a move taking off 12% every switch when you could do 100% with one powerful move. But thats just my opinion anyway lol :')

The only overrated Pokemon that actually deserve their praise are Hydreigon and Emolga.

Fire types really don't make sense though.

Although I do agree with Charizard being over-rated, I have something to say, namely: Training for that first gym and getting Metal Claw. For someone who was used to picking fire type starters and all their flaws, this was a moment I almost victory danced.

I'd have to say Lucario and Noctowl (along with some other of the late-route flying type pokemon). *Runs away*.

I've trained both and I wasn't really impressed.

Sadly I would have to agree that Mewtwo is probably overrated (and this is coming from someone who considered him my top legendary Pokémon). In the case of the anime it's not because of his character, but because I now think that the anime really over-exaggerated how powerful he really is in the games. He was always called "The world's most powerful Pokémon" at the time, but in the games the secret to beating him is so simple you don't even have to do anything but press a button. Two words: Master Ball. Take it out. Throw it. He's yours! Of course I know for story purposes the people behind the anime have to take certain liberties from the games. I mean, if one of the other trainers on New Island had a Master Ball with them and they really did work as perfectly as the games, you would have no movie then. And no real danger or climax either. But like a lot of the other Pokémon in the anime, I believe it was the film's portrayal of Mewtwo as this unstoppable clone that made me obsessed with him.

Mewtwo has the second highest SP. ATK in the game...not overrated
