Thread: The most "frightening/threatening" Pokemon ever?

There are two things I would do if I saw a Beedrill: either run like my life depended on it (and it would) or freeze on the spot and never move again. I hate wasps, even the little one. So a 3 feet tall wasp with giant needles? That's nightmare material right there.
I'd have a similar reaction if I saw an Ariados or a Galvantula, and to a lesser extent, Spinarak or Joltik.
... Actually, there's not a single Bug-type Pokémon I'd like to meet in real life.

Of course, there are also the one like Dialga/Palkia/Giratina/Zekrom/Reshiram/Kyurem/Groudon/Kyogre/Rayquaza/Regigigas, for obvious reasons.

But I think my second choice after Beedrill would be Darkrai.

Lopunny. That thing's cry disturbs me to no end. Seriously.

I would be scared to death of Beedrill too, but as for pokemon go, what about Pineco or Fortress

If we go by looks, Giratina and Krookodile take it for frightening.

If we go by abilities and behavior.... Chandelure's family, Cofagrigus, Darkrai, Hydreigon, Kyurem, plus probably half of all Pokemon. People treat them as cute little things to dress up and play around with, but they're still like animals if they're wild. They'll kill us without second thoughts.

Banette. BANETTE D8!!!!

From the Pedia: Banette is a black, humanoid, doll-like Pokémon which is possessed with pure hatred.
It's Dex Entry: A cursed energy permeated the stuffing of a discarded and forgotten plush doll, giving it new life as Banette. The Pokémon's energy would escape if it were to ever open its mouth/A doll that became a Pokémon over its grudge from being junked. It seeks the child that disowned it/Strong feelings of hatred turned a puppet into a Pokémon. If it opens its mouth, its cursed energy escapes. .

Hydreigon, Banette. They're all totally awesome, and I would love to have one in real life, but running into one in a dark alley would be seriously traumatizing.

I would say Darkrai, but I like Darkrai.

I could easily say Hydregion and Darkrai....Hyrdregion just looks so evil, and Darkrai is pretty much a nightmare....

I'd say Palkia because you cant run away from a God that can control space at will. You cant defeat said God or even have the time to throw a pokeball before he spacial rend your brains, nor can you reason with it.

Banette is seriously creepy considering the sole point of it's existence is to seek out the little child who tossed it's doll body away and act out of revenge. I do like it a lot as a pokemon though.

Everyone's comments about Beedrill have got me thinking how terrified I'd be if a Scyther leaped out of the tall grass aggressively. It's a 4'11" tall praying mantis with freaking swords for hands! Can you imagine how much damage Scyther could do to a fleshy being like a human? We'd be split in half like a sand bag. Even if you're Scyther was kind, you would take your life in your hands every time you went to hug it.

Plus it does look kind of mad in it's FR/LG artwork.

Banette is the creepiest-looking to me, and it has a pretty creepy power (like, wow, way to turn a generation of kids into hoarders...) and its name rhymes with that of my hated stepmother so I'm just going to say Banette. As much as I love the one on my Ruby for being my best Smartness Contest Pokemon.

Although the Shedinja "looking into its back steals away your soul" thing is pretty creepy considering that's exactly what you are looking at every time you use it in battle...

And I'm going to add Scolipede even though I haven't played B/W yet, because it's an 8-foot-tall, venomous centipede. I hated ordinary house centipedes, enough, Nintendo, you didn't need to do this to me. (In general, it's easy to mock Misty in the anime when she encounters Bug Pokemon, but the Pokemon world kind of sucks if you have any sort of phobia of creepy-crawlies. Even the little ones like Caterpie are way bigger than their real-life counterparts!)

Most Ghost types seem very fearful and menacing, however, I agree with a lot of the posters that BANETTE is the most terrifying. The reason why I love Banette so much is because of it's amazing storyline as vengeful voodoo doll who wants to destroy the person who threw it away. What a GODDESS.

That being said, I had tons of plush toys who now sit in my a garbage bag in my crawlspace. I hope they don't ever attack me.
