    I'm assuming that this is a discussion thread about the connection instead of informing us that this is true. So I'm not just going to say that we already knew this.

    My opinion? I wouldn't have been able to see it unless someone told me. I love how Pokemon can have subtle connections to animals/folklore/myths/whatever else and make you have those "Now I get it!" moments.
