    Default Impact on your life?

I know I can't be the only one when I say that Watching Pokemon for nearly my entire life has pretty much shaped my imagination. No matter what I am doing, watching, listening to or thinking about if I try hard enough I can relate it in some way to Pokemon. I still have all the movies on VHS and DVD and most of the movies soundtracks on either CD or on my iPod, and whenever someone asks me what my favorite show is I will still say Pokemon (only Kanto, Johto and the Orange Islands. The rest were just kind of ehh to me but I still watched them). How has Poke effected your life?

I'd say it does. It really got me into anime, which I thank it for. Now I'm an otaku for life.

Pokemon is also good for many reasons, like entertainment.

As ridiculous as it may sound at first, I learned my first English words through Pokemon games (Red and Gold), not lessons in the 1st grade.

If you're posting in Bulbagarden, it's safe to say that Pokemon has taken over your life. *shameless blog promotion* It does give me something to write about.

I wouldn't say it's "affected my life", but hey, it's a fun game. It also gave my hyperactive imagination something to wrap around, and something that basically everybody at public school had in common with me. :P

I can't get into a logical conversation these days without bringing up Pokemon or at least thinking about Pokemon. All I text my friend about is Pokemon. Or anime, which branched from my love for the Pokemon anime. :3

Pokemon guided me toward a viable carrer option for me in the future I'm actually interested in (artwork), plus has introduced me to many friends and a new side of the internet.

First and foremost, Pokémon gave me a fair way to spend my time (otherwise known as hobby). Second, it taught me to have faith in humanity with all the nice and friendly themes, which may sound cheesy but are so important and precious nowadays. Other than that, it instigated my imagination - when I was younger, and still to this day, I tried my best to create in my mind, among other things, the Pokémon battles -, taught me a good deal of English, interested me in Japanese culture (Animé and Manga, mostly) as well as videogames and helped me find this awesome forum which served as a bridge to find some fine online buddies. :)

When I started playing in 2010, it introduced me to fanfiction, shippings and love stories, and making characters you grow to like in stories etc.

Pokemon has been one of the biggest things in my life since I saw the first episode on TV when I was in 4th grade. Now in college, I can't imagine how boring (and possibly even different) my life would be without Pokemon. Pokemon has given me a way to express my imagination. It has enhanced my drawing skills (doing fan-art), writing skills (doing fan-fics), and has become my largest hobby. I have found an interest in Japanese culture because of Pokemon. I'm not really an anime watcher, manga reader, or anything like that. I just have a genuine curiosity and interest in Japan that is separate from Pokemon. So I would say that Pokemon has also made me a more culturally diverse person. I plan to learn Japanese and travel there (̶t̶o̶ ̶b̶u̶y̶ ̶P̶o̶k̶e̶m̶o̶n̶ ̶m̶e̶r̶c̶h̶ ̶m̶u̶a̶h̶a̶h̶a̶!̶) because I think it is a beautiful place. Who would have guessed a "children's cartoon" could impact some of our lives in this way? Amazing.
