Thread: If you could rename any Pokemon...

What would it be? No, I'm not talking about just nicknaming current Pokemon, I'm talking about if you could change its actual name in all canon.

Personally I would rename some of the earlier ones, like Mr. Mime or Jynx or Drowzee, becuase let's face it those names kinda suck.

Mr. Mime to Barrier.

Other than that, I have no problems with any other name. I'm just too used to them, I guess.

Yes, I had to rename mine Mrs. Mime...

And on a related note, I would also change the name of Farfetch'd to Leequack or something.

that's a good rename. i'd probably change nosepass or probopass' name to magnose (magnet and nose) or something like that. or magna-schnozzer. just throwin that out there.

Mr. Mime has a perfectly gender neutral Japanese name, they're not going to change it's gender ratio just for the English releases, and if they did it would just cause problems with trading between the Japanese and English versions of the games.

Kyorca. Kyogre just misses the mark.

Also Rayquasa instead of Rayquaza.

The only ones I can think is Salamence -> Salagon, but it would not make any sense now, but my reason is mainly an aesthetic one, since Salamence's pre-evolutions' names end with a -gon.
