15, been playing Pokemon since 1998. I started playing games about a year before that.

17 baby. I've been a pokemon fan ever since Red and Blue came out, back when I owned the lime green Gameboy. However, I hate the new generations after the third, and there is no way I want to learn a whole new battling metagame.

Looks like I'm an older member here... I'm '85.

I remember the first time I touched this franchise was when my Japanese cousin gave me a Pokemon TCG game played in Color Gameboy. That would be 1996. It turned out I played the game very skillfully, being able to build very devastating decks, and I was 11 at that time.

Example: I used 4 Zubat and 4 Golbat, then 4 Bulbasaur, 4 Ivysaur, 3 Venusaur, 2 Pinsir, 2 Pokemon Trader, 2 Pokemon Breeder, 25 Energy Cards, and some others. My strategy is to lead with Zubat, put Bulbasaur on the bench, then evolve Zubat to prevent getting knocked out, and use the Breeder (and Trader if necessary) to make myself a Venusaur. Then, since Golbat has no retreat energy cost, Energy Trans will make me a 60 damage attack from a 100HP Pokemon in only 4 rounds.

Then I played Red and Blue, but finally gave up just because I couldn't capture Kangaskhan to complete the Dex. Then I watched the anime in Chinese, my mother language. I played the Gen 2 and Gen 3 games as well. But when DP came I quitted everything. I came back last year because I got serious in studying Japanese, and decided to be a Japanese Anime translator for this forum. My dream is to become a quad-lingual translator. I hope my job in this forum will help me pursue my dream.

18, been a fan for 10 years but never actually got the game until Silver came out. I blame my parents for that -.-

My first Pokémon Game was Silver. :D

I was born in 1997. I'm 13 years old. My first game was Pokemon Red.

I was born in 1989. I'll be 21 in July.

I remember my dad buying me Red around the time the games were first released and becoming addicted. I loved the games, the show, the card game, heck, my friends and I even ran around the school yard being Pokémon. Then as I grew up I lost interest until I bought myself a DS. Slowly I became addicted to the games again.

I don't like to admit to people that I've since started buying the DVDs of the show for nostalgia's sake.

Um, one year away from the big five-oh being born in 1961.
