Wow. I feel young. 1998! Yay!
Wow. I feel young. 1998! Yay!
I'll be the very best. Like no one ever was.
29. I started playing Yellow back in ninth grade in 1997. Can't believe it's been that long and still going strong.
1989, just turned 23 the other day. Got into Pokémon more or less as soon as Red and Blue were released here in 1999.
I'm 18, born in 1994. Like many other people here obviously, lulz.
I'm 27 years old, I was born on Friday, December 13, 1985. I been a Pokemon fan since I first watched the anime back in early 1999. I been hooked on Pokemon ever since. I will never quit. I do like the original series (Kanto) I love more Sinnoh and Unova.
Watchog's #1 Fan!!

Oh, I am fourteen years old-- born in 1998.
I got into Pokémon quite soon in my life, about 2001, I'd say???
March 21st, 1997, so I'm 15 yrs. old
I'm 19 and it seems the vast majority of voters are 90's kids like me! I've been playing Pokemon for as long as I can remember and I have no intention of stopping anytime soon.
I was born in 1999. I'll be 14 in February. I started pretty late, first started playing in 2009, with Platinum being my first Pokemon while I was in 4th grade. My two older brothers had Ruby, Sapphire, FireRed, LeafGreen, Diamond, and Pearl, but I had never had one before.
Im 20 , born in '92. Funny it seems like the majority of people on this website were born in the early through mid 90s.
15. I was born in 97'.
I'm 23, and I remember when red and blue version first came out in the US, and the anime premiered on, like, Fox kids in the mornings or something and I would watch it every morning before school (along with Power Rangers). I felt really old the other day when in a Sunday School class I teach with ten and eleven year olds I was talking to a kid about DS games and I was saying how pokemon was my favorite game and I had almost every main-series game that ever came out, and he was like "I've never played pokemon, I don't really like it." On the outside I was like, "Oh well I guess it makes sense since it might be more of a previous generation thing," but inside I was like >:O "OMG WTF, HOW CAN YOU NOT LIKE POKEMON YOU STUPID BRAT! WHAT IS WRONG WITH THIS GENERATION, GAAAHHH!"
I was born in 1994. The first year Pokémon aired on UK television, me and my brother would watch it every morning without fail xD Coco pops and Pokémon were my only worries back then, and I wish they still were haha. The good old days when you knew Team Rocket would turn up, but because I was so young, I looked forward to what plans that had in store for Ash and the gang that morning, those were the highlights of my younger days!
I feel I've become too judgmental towards how the new episodes are written as my age now (18), whereas if I was watching them back in the day I would have appreciated it more, but now I'm older and wiser I guess I always see the writers intentions... I do miss how Pokémon used to be, but I will stop complaining about future generations because it can only get better... and Pokémon's not going anywhere for a long time!
I was born in December of 1990. I think the first episode of pokemon I ever saw was the episode where Ash caught Charmander. I never got to see a lot of the episodes because my mom didn't let me and my brother watch TV that often if she wanted to watch TV. But I loved the show. I got blue for Christmas and my brother got red. We played the games, collected the cards, and spent all the money we got for Christmas on Pokemon Action figures. I still wish I'd gotten those Team Rocket figures at the time! I even remember in elementary school trading a Squirtle card for a Weepinbell card. And then the office announced over the intercom that Pokemon cards were now forbidden as well as all pokemon merchandise would be taken from us. I was understandably upset, being in 3rd grade at the time.
I'm still a huge fan of pokemon. I still have all my cards, all my action figures, and all my plushies. I have a Charmander plush hanging off my purse, and I still have the Charmander pillow mom got me for Christmas way back then. I probably still have that Charmander tin Mom's at the time boyfriend bought for me when he heard I liked Pokemon (the fact the man thought I'd like Charmander was reason enough for me to think mom should marry him, but alas it was not meant to be! xD).
I do still watch the Anime. Though I miss Brock and Misty, I'd say that Iris and Cilan are nice characters. Not good replacements, but nice characters. Every time a new pokemon game comes out I get excited. My brother may have gotten tired of pokemon, but that only meant that all his cards and toys now belong to me! Muhahaha!
An IceFox who prefers fire types? That's... interesting.
I'm more partial to blues and greens as well~
I was born in 1998. The anime pretty much marked my childhood, i'd watch it every week. Then, at age 8, i found out about the games (since the games didn't make it to Serbia originally). A year later i got my first DS and Pokemon Diamond. I was so happy ;__; but i constantly kept wondering, where is Ash? xD
