Born in '89. Discovered pokemon in '98 or '99, and I've always been into it to some degree since.

When I was in 7th grade (1998) I saw an ad for Pogerminz in Disney Adventures magazine XD Everyone in in my grade and in 8th were really into it. I got Blue for Christmas. :) I stopped playing for a while in high school but then got into Silver when I was I think a Junior? Then I stopped again for a while and my ex and I got bought Ruby and Sapphire. I've pretty much been playing nonstop since 2005. I still have my gold plated Togepi card from Burger King, and my Nidoking as well :)
Too bad my boyfriend now doesn't play ;_;

I'll be 17 in February. I have been a Pokemon fan since 1998, when it debuted in the States. I played and watched it religiously up until about 2002, at which point I continued playing the games, but drifted away from regularly watching the anime. I've owned, and subsequently lost most of the games, though I still own my original copies of Blue and Yellow, and have replaced my copies of Sapphire and Emerald (still planning on replacing my copies of Silver and Crystal) I just recently returned to watching the anime regularly, purely out of nostalgia.

I remember my first experience with Pokemon.... I turned on the TV and it was that old episode where Ash gets pwnt by Brock's Onix. I wondered "what is that yellow mouse thing and why is it fighting a giant rock creature?" I watched, thought it was neat, eventually got into the games, and here we are. lol
