Thread: How Old Were You?

I was barely ten years old when I first saw information about the franchise. I used to be a member of Club Nintendo so I got a monthly magazine about the latest games and whatnot, and in a... September issue, I think, there was information about the upcoming Pokémon games (Where they knew so little that they said Pikachu's name was Pokémon XD) and a show about the very same that would soon air on TV, and it intrigued me so much that I got immediately hooked. It's been almost 11 years since then. Oh man.

I was 3...that was about 11 years ago.

I've known of PokéMon even before it existed here, and I mostly shrugged it off when it was all the rage. However - I got into Pokémon roughly around the end of 1999. G/S were only just released in Japan and were still regarded as a potential hoax out of Japan. That was... 10 years ago, Meaning I was 13 or so? Hn.

I was about ten. Although its funny, I got into the cards before the game or anime.

i was like 9 or 10 when i started to watch the anime and i got more into it when i played Red like 2 years later

ahahahah I was 3 years old! of course i didn't know how to play it but my dad helped me :)

I was less than 7 when it was the big new craze and I watched it on TV. N'aww, I used to be the biggest Pokeshipper back then... I think I was 9/10when I got a GBC and Yellow.

I think I might have watched it/liked it when I was really young, but I can't distinctively remember it.

I started liking it when it was 2001 or 2002. I remember that ruby and sapphire were gonna come out in japan, so I must've been 5.

Hmm... I got into the game with FireRed, but I'd watched the anime for a long time before that. It never occurred to me back when I was 5 that the anime was based on something, lol...
