In the anime, when Tracey caught his Scyther, they said that he was pretty old - and he did look old. I think they gave him some beard like features, and even though he was pretty strong, I think he ran out of energy pretty fast in a battle iirc.

The surfing Pikachu was also old because plot-wise, the Big Wave occurs every 20 years, and the surfer met the Pikachu when he failed to conquer the last Big Wave. 20 years later in the present, they still surf together. So we can assume that Pikachu can live more than 20 years.

In some media, some said that Entei, Raikou and Suicune was another different pokemon before they died, whereas Ho-oh reincarnated (not revive) them to the current identities. So it is not Entei, Raikou and Suicune that was died, but the pokemon of their previous life.

What does flesh have to do with it? Invertebrates, plants & other anything else that isn't an animal (like bacteria) don't have flesh an they age (and die, by extension).

Furthermore, I think that if it can breed then it can die, otherwise the Pokémon world would have been overrun will Voltorb & Trubbish a loooooong time ago.

    Plant is organic

im referring to the living metal or mineral pokemon who dont age just evolve they dont have organs since they are living minerals hence they cant die of old age

I didn't say it wasn't (mainly because there's no such thing as inorganic life in reality, at the moment). My point was that you were justifying your assertion that organics shouldn't age by a lack of flesh, hence my comment about organisms that lack flesh still ageing.

You make a lot of unbased assumptions there, specifically:

    • living metal/mineral pokemon don't age/can't die of old age
    • living minerals [...] don't have organs.

We don't know if any of these assumptions are true, so you can't make arguments based on them.

A veeerrryyy long time, likely with the lifetime of humans as a lower bound.* The list is—for the most part—evolved Pokémon; unevolveds may live longer or shorter than their evolved counterparts.

Here is a list because somebody else made one and I follow the crowd:

Shedinja: 15 years (this is an exception to the "humans as lower bound" thing)
    Small Bug-type Pokémon: 50 years
    Small Mammals/Rodents: 70-100 years
    Larger Bug-types: 80-90 years
    Smaller Birds: 90 years
    Reptiles/Amphibians: 110-150 years
    Most Fishes: 110-190 years
    Plant-like Pokémon: 120-150 years
Larger Birds (including Chatot): 130-150 years
    Larger Mammals: 180-210 years
Humanoid-ish Pokémon (Alakazam, Lucario, Infernape, etc.): 200 years
Wailord: 230 years (hey, big things have big lifespans)
    Turtles and tortoises: 250-300 years
    Dragons: 300-600+ years
    Ghost-types: 450+ years
Pokémon based off rocks: 1000+ years
    Magikarp: 1050 years
Pokémon made of steel or other metals: 2000+ years
Legendaries are practically immortal, having lived for tens of thousands of years. An example would be Dialga and Palkia, who have to have lived since the creation of the universe (or at least time and space).

I ran the now-defunct Claim-a-Move Thread. I also claimed Lightning Strike, Marshtomp, Motor Drive, Magic Guard, and Azure Flute (probably also expired, but who cares, as long as you know that I'm the ruler of everything).

In the 2012 era, I have unfairly won America*'s Warrior Cats Mafia (and a few ones before).

It would be most likely that stronger Pokemon live longer than weaker Pokemon. So if something like Caterpie or Weedle only lived a few years, something like Volcarona or Lapras would live for centuries.

I'd expect Ghost Pokemon such as Duskull or Froslass to live quite long too.

I'd imagine very large Pokemon like Wailord living long, since IRL baleen whales can live for well over 100 years. There are bowhead whales in the Arctic waters that are believed to be over 150.

Legendaries like Articuno and Lugia could probably live for thousands of years. The Poke Gods like Palkia and Rayquaza are probably immortal.

This might be weird, but I think I'd expect female Pokemon to live longer than male Pokemon of the same species. In real life, longer lifespans are common for females of many animal species. It's obvious with humans too - if you follow birthday announcements for people 100 or older, you'd see that over 90 percent of them are women.

Something else to keep in mind: Poke Balls probably prevent aging. When a Pokemon is put into a Poke Ball or PC, it's converted into energy (except for in Adventures), and when it's sent out it would be the same as when it was last recalled. It's harder to see with the modern Poke Balls, but if you look at the Pokemopolis Pokemon and Sir Aaron's Lucario, it's pretty unlikely they'd live that long on their own.

It is said to live 10,000 years. And real-world cats are said to have 9 lives... doesn't mean they actually do. The Pokédex entry is probably a hyperbole and just means that they can be extremely old (which makes sense, because certain real-world turtles can get pretty old).

Anyway, I'm going to say that Pokémon lifespans probably are close to their real-world counterparts, except when delayed by the effects of a Poké Ball (like Mand"alor te Siit said) or delayed by something like time travel or dimensional travel. There are some exceptions though,
    - Fossil Pokémon (in the anime) have been seen alive (but hibernating) for thousands of years
    - Many of the Legendary Pokémon seem to have extremely long lifespans
    - I would suspect that some of the Ghost Pokémon are immortal
