Poke-kay-mon Thats what I think, because if you hear how its said in some pokemon music, thats how they say it.
Mr. Poe-kah-mon.
o_o You filled up 3 pages of this? Oh em gee. I'm touched. ;~; Normally my threads just fall over and die a slow and painful death.
I've been pronouncing "Pokemon" wrong ever since I became a fan of it. I never even knew what the little slash thingy above the "e" meant, so all my life I've been pronouncing it Poh-kee-mahn and not even realizing that it's wrong until now. o_O
「オワリ は ハジマリ」

Poh-kay-mon. I used to say Poh-kee-mon, though. Wikipedia saved me from mispronouncing it forever.

I either say Poh-kuh-mon or Poh-kay-mon. I think I say Poh-kuh-mon more though.

I pronounce it poke-EE-mon

I pronounce it as the letters indicate, in a monotone. Pókémauhn. All vowels have equal stress, far as I can see.
The acute mark means the same in all standard romanizations, not only Spanish, and some changes will be made to combined words (this isn't English, after all).Pokémon isn't a Spanish word. If it was, you'd be correct. Technically speaking, since it's Pocket Monsters combined, it would be Poh keh mon. But I pronounce it the same way as the American dub.
ummmmmm..... just like that? Pokémon? Tho our dub Ash also says Pokemon many times without stress on that e. ....... maybe it sounds a bit like "poke a mon" ? The a sounding like "A, B, C, D..." that a. XD xD because it's not related to the Japanese cos thats POKETTO MONSUTAA (if I'm not mistaking)
Banner not made by me.
". . . his smile should be on billboards. Gary is insanely attractive."
Poke as in "pocket"
Mon as in "monster"
Pocket-Monster -> Poke-Mon -> Pokémon
The é... it's kinda hard to explain. =S
I was talking more about how it means that "ké" should be stressed or something... As in, you don't say "Pókemon" or "Pokemón", focusing on the first or last sillable, but on the second.
Doesn't need to be stressed all that much IMO.
I don't stress it at all. I simply change the way I pronounce it.
