    Default Friendship With Pokemon

Lots of people think it is cool to act like their Pokemon are just pixels on a screen to seem badass and all that. I know my Pokemon are not real, still I have a sentimental attachment to them which guides me through each game. I follow Satoshi's philosophy -- bringing out the best in Pokemon through both hard work and unconditional love.

How do you treat your Pokemon?

I treat them like they are my own pets. When I say pets, I don't mean pet-pets, I mean like ebst friends forever kind of pets. You know what I mean.

With my Pokemon, they're real to me. Must sound crazy, huh? 0_- My Pokemon are like a little chunk of my heart-Loved, cared for, and then they battle. When they lose, I do not snarl or get angry. More or less, I'm happy. Yay, more training for me ^^
    Glameow-meow! Oops I mean...err...Arcanine-nine? Ah forget it...

I like cookies, Pie, animals, Pokemon, and Arcanine. But mostly my computer X3

My Pokemon are my friends, of course. ^_^

I've trained them for a very long time, but there's still more training to be done. We just have to work together and get stronger, no?

    All of us together...

It's a little easier in Mystery Dungeon I'd imagine, because you become a Pokemon, and there's tons of dialogue. The way you add Pokemon to your team is by beating them, and they "come to respect you". That's pretty awesome, in my opinion XD And you get to talk with each of them.

I guess pets. I feed it, and then let it do their thing.

Same here. I literally talk to them out loud when they're in the Pokéwalker. I imagine them as humans, and they have names and their own personalities. I love my Pokemon! :)

I sometimes get upset when making a change in my team if that's what you mean. I also have a hard time releasing Pokémon.

Some of my Pokemon are like kids to me in a way.
Togepi is like my Baby Boy and Roselia is like a Daughter and Sealeo is like a trusty pet Cat. I'm weird I know.

I get quite attached to my Pokemon. I do know they arent technically real, but I love them as though they are.
I know Id be quite upset if any of my games got deleted somehow.

It's an odd feeling, innit? I know of course that it's only a game and it's only programming, but it's been given a face, and a personality, so it feels "real" in a way, and I can't help but get attached to them. I actually have a hard time making changes to my team (see my depositing thread for more on that) for fear I'll "hurt their feelings"! I then realise I'm probably very daft for it, but damned if I can't help it.

Human nature I suppose. And I figure it's normal to feel attached to something you've put effort into.
