I love my pokemon, my favorite pokemon (okay, my main six) so much, that I find life mates for them to love.

And do I win? Well... Yes. And no. I'm not competitive so I jsut battle for fun.
    That's really nice. :)

I believe in Karenism as well. I do not care that much if a Pokémon is considered weak or strong. If I like it, it's usually perfect for me.

I voted for the latter option.
But I'm confused. I only EV train Pokemon who I love, which are exactly like yours, Lyorias. Dark types. :)

In universe; yes, because they are real creatures who look up to you.

Game wise, no. Unless you get attached to the little guys.

Love makes the world go round, but I don't think it wins you Pokemon battles.

    Yes.

If you just think of Pokemon as numbers and pixels on a screen, then all you care about is more numbers - how many times you've won, what rank you are.

But if you love them, then you believe in them. They have value beyond numbers.

So you don't find it stupid to send them out against opponents who have been "specially trained." And, very often, your Pokemon comes as a surprize to that other player, because it just so happens to be the perfect counter.

And it's love that made you send out that Pokemon in the first place.

It might be true. It might be false. It might just be the perception of the person.

Like Ryuutakeshi, I follow Karenism. I don't use the pokemon that are popular or are the best competitive battlers, I use pokemon that I love.
Me too. I love all of my Pokemon to the point where I imagine them as if they were real. No matter who you use, you'll get to love them. That Tyranitar beast can still be your pal, no matter what. I love all Pokemon!!

Like othes before me, I am a firm adherent of Karenism. I think its because loving a pokemon you're raising motivates you to make the most of them so that you can enjoy seeing them win battles & such.

    :'3

I think its like that with some of the pokemon on my teams too. For example, have this Froslass & this Mismagius and for some reason I always feel that they prefer to double battle together than with the others on my team.

I think it doesn't, but it makes the game so much more fun to feel an emotional attachment to your team, if you ask me.
And the only reason I pay attention to a Pokemon's nature is that so I can imagine its personality. :3

    I use Pokemon i love

I love my Chikorita in Soul Silver so much i gave him an everstone cause i dont want him to evolve.

I love all my shinies so i try to catch them in Luxury Balls to make them sparkle a little more. I try to name them all, and treat them extra special

i dont battle competitively so i dont worry about their nature so much or IVs( there are exceptions to this like a nice Totodile i managed to get off the GTS that has Perfect attack and speed IVs) i do ty to use their full potential though

I sometimes play competitively, but this so much. That and the little flavour text always have a big influence when I create a personality for my Pokémon. For instance, my Staraptor was a clown, but also relaxed, so I supposed she was a calm Pokémon who put thought in things and knew how to make good jokes. :3

However, I always find it sad when people see them just as a tool to beat the game. I mean, if you don't like the Pokémons (or most of them), why are you playing these games anyway? They are one, if not the main, key of the games.

    Definitely love and care.

    It's pretty obvious.

A Pokemon you capture at the start of the game and raise to a high level is going to work much better with you than a high level Pokemon you catch later in the game. You could just raise the happiness of the new Pokemon, but I always catch Pokemon at the start of the game that I know will do well against the gyms/Elite Four so I know them well enough and they have a high happiness level.

Well, there is the time I first went through the E4 in HG. All my Pokémon were below Lv. 40 or just that range and yet, I somehow managed to win. I believe it was through that that I won.

I mean, just look at my team that time:

    Typhoon (Typhlosion)
Mary (Butterfree (Who didn't even have BUG BUZZ at the time...))
    Crobat
    Pidgeot
    Sandslash
    Tesla (Surfing Raichu)

Especially the Champion battle was long and I was there, used up all my revives, Max Revives, and all of my X items and Crobat was in play and against Lance's last Pokémon, Dragonite (I did still have another one in the back). I kept thinking ''Come on Crobat, kill it already!'' and after a few long, daunting turns he got a Crit with Cross Poison and I had defeated Lance at last.

I believe it's because I trusted in them that I have won and became the Champion that day.

I love my pokemon, I use my favorets in battle no caring about tiers(except for the uber tier which I try to avoid), and I do do some EV training so thay can be strong, I also only battle for fun, but love unfortinently dosnt help you win, it's a computer when you get right down to it, however your love for your pokemon may effect a lucky hit or miss, atleast thats what I think.

If by love you mean "Mwahaha! I'm your cruel overlord, weaklings! Do as I command you!", then yes.
I never payed attention to the numbers myself. Could never be bothered to figure it out.

So, on the poll, I'll go with yes, because its probably strategy that lets you win as opposed to "love".
