Why even pics don't seem to convince people?
He looks like a teen. My son will be 10 next year I am not attarted to ten year olds at all...hell not even teens in real life... but I am attracted to Ash...

I mean is it really wrong for me to love Ash?
And he is never ever going to age? -_-;;;
Calm down, Toto. Remember, we're only discussing opinions - whether or not Ash ages, as a fact, is completely unknown, and nobody can say otherwise but Pokemon's original writers, who so far have said nothing.

I'm not entirely certain, but I'm fairly sure that the mention of 1 year having passed during the "Battle of the Badge" being a dub addition. In the original I believe he simply commented that it had been awhile since he'd been here.
In the third pikachu short they celebrated the anniversary of the day they had met (Ash & Pikachu & Misty). If you take this to mean that it was indeed the first aniversary, then that means that Indigo, the orange Islands, and two Johto Badges happened in one year. While this may seem somewhat rediculous, it would explain Ash not appearing to age. For all we know he could be 12 in the most recent episodes, which would explain why he hasn't gone through puberty or grown much. Either that or he is a teenager and really really short.
This is my theory on the matter. I like it since it allows him to age and explains why he hasn't changed much.
But he has changed quite a bit, I think.
I didn't know you had a 10 year old son. Mine's 11. One thing I noticed about aging, particularly preteen aging, is that kids look the same for a while. My son looks the same now as he did at 9, only he's taller. To me, anyway, Ash seems taller in the anime and appears to be on the cusp of puberty. I think he does appear to have aged, but only slightly.Quote:

Indeed. He has, in a sense, grown up a bit - and the visual cues are there to remind us.
Though for some reason I'm thinking it's the clothes that do it.

Yes, and that is really odd, isn't it? Every time I see Delia she looks younger to me. But I guess that's also due to the animation style changes.
Well, perhaps she is finding more and more use for makeup, like some aging women.
