Thread: Do you think the World of Pokemon is real?

Do you think the world of pokemon exists somewhere out there?
In my opinion, i think it does. i think it's somewhere out there in the universe and i have hope that one day i will live in that world.

I like to live with the belief every idea ever thought of is simply our dimension interacting with another dimension where that idea is a reality.

Makes no sense but I'd like to say, somewhere out there, Pokemon are real. We'll just never be able to go there.

i love that! i totally believe that 2! but i believe we will some day be about to go there. i think it's out there, just that the universe hasn't decided to release it yet. idk if that makes sense. but everything that is thought up of, or blelieved in becomes reality one day (if you really put ur heart into it). thats what i believe anyway.

Nope. It's common sense really.

The universe is infinite, therefore it must exist.

You might not be able to reach it right away, but you will some day. Everything goes on forever.

Wait...are you serious? Pokemon is a videogame, so...wasn't it all made up by somebody?

Yes out there in space some where lives a world where there are powerfull beasts used by there trainers.

I think it is out there some where and mabey one day long after we have all pasted on people might go there and never bad mouth pokemon agein as they will see what its truely about :)

That is the lamest logic ever. Considering that our universe is grounded by our laws of physics, while Pokemon clearly shows it isn't, then it doesn't exist. If it really did exist, it wouldn't exist in this universe.

Pokemon is a concept of humans, therefore that world you seek exists in your mind.

That just means it is as fake as reality is real.

If we consider the idea of reality like that, then it would be out of the bounds of this reality. So it wouldn't be wrong saying such a thing is not real, as it doesn't belong here.

In the same way, reality itself would be "fake", in the sense of it being out of the bounds of such an alternate reality.

But even if we consider theories of derivative realities (that is, a work of fiction is created inside a work of fiction)... In the end, in our real world, in the limits of what we can say is real and isn't, it's fiction.


Also I don't feel like and this isn't the place for making an essay about how the mind overlaps with how we percieve reality. So to directly answer this thread I'll just agree with what Outrage said.

But isnt pokemon a fake idea invented by humans? so it cant be real, unless the videogames, anime, and cards are all a cover up to hide the real pokemon O.o

Yes, it's a fake idea. But I believe that thought, being very similar to light, is the main principle of this. When we have thought of something, it creates an intersecting dimension through which the specific thinker is the focal point. Since all thoughts are different, you are always creating new dimensions. It's traveling to these dimensions that's the problem. But we are only limited by our imaginations. And sometimes you'll find, that to go somewhere else, all you need to do is think about it.

What's a "fake" idea? It's an idea, and it exists. Therefore it is a real and existing idea.

Your confusing this with what is noumenally real. Pokemon is a real idea, and a real concept.

Furthermore, no one is really explaining how a subjective idea can be fake? It can be factually untrue, but to say it is fake means that the idea isn't an idea.

It is as real as your mind makes it...
