Thread: Animals, Plants and other Things not already used for Pokémon

THERE ARE TECHNICALLY THREE LION POKEMON SPECIES, goddddd people, stop saying there aren't any. Think before you post, pleaaase.

Zigzagoon is more like a tanuki to me, I think a more realistic raccoon would be nice regardless. And a manatee would be nice. Would also maybe help promote awareness of such an endangered animal.

I'd also like to add jaguarundis or civets, harpy eagles, big-horned sheep or gazelle, tamarins and like many have said, red pandas.

Some more I'd like to see:

Spiny Mouse (Sandslash is spiny and a "Mouse" pokemon, but doesn't really seem to be based on one)
Linsang or Genet
Naked Mole Rat
Kingfisher
Shrike
Oryx
Tapeworm (yeah, I'm gross)

A hedgehog. There also isn't a turkey Pokemon

A (100% female) whiptail lizard pokemon
A Pokemon that is based on koala

I was going to suggest a pokemon based upon a drinking bird, but now that I think about it, Porygon 2 pretty much already has that covered. Damn, GameFreak are good.

Hammerhead shark pokemon would be good too.

They already made a Dolphin of sorts... It is-whats its name...Aaargh...Gorybyss! Thats it.

Lanturn kinda counts too, you cant say its totally based on an angler fish, nor totally based on a dolphin, i tihnk its just a mix :l

Why not a Pokémon based off of a canary? Or how about a wombat? Sugar gliders? I think a kangaroo one would be good (One that isn't like Kangaskahn!).

A coyote is a good one. But Lucario and Riolu are based off of a jackals, actally.

I think Gorebyss, just like Huntail, is an eel or pipefish. I guess Lanturn is sort of cetacean-like, but I wish they had made Lumineon a dolphin rather than a generic fish. A butterfly dolphin (maybe psychic?) would have been amazing and would have helped in making that pokemon not so forgettable.

We do need a hammerhead shark! And a proper kangaroo would be nice (though I've heard Breloom is also partly based on one).

Squid and goat. I reeeally want a cool goat/ram looking Pokemon.

A coyote is a good one. But Lucario and Riolu are based off of a jackals, actally.

Emonga for the sugar glider.

Hummingbird, Jaguar, Armadillo, Squid, Shrimp, Coyote... that's all I can think for now.

I also think a Shrimp pokemon would be great.

But, does Anorith classify? It is, after all, classified as "Ols Shrimp". But then again, they classify Zangoose as "Cat Ferret" so... >.>
