Really? I find bug pokemon are becoming 'samey' and tedious. That said, however, I wouldn't mind seeing an evolution for Pinsir in Gen 5. Pinsir seems to have become forgotten ever since Scyther got an evolution.

Dinosaurs.We really need them.Oh,and there's a ton of plants out there,they could use them to make a bunch of grass types.

There hasn't been a proper elephant, right? Mamoswine is close-ish...
A proper crow/raven. I would hope it would be a 3-stage early flying type. Not the wimpy Murkrow.
A few others that I can't think of current pokemon counterparts: ram, oxen, vulture, rhinoceros, eh...edit this when I think of more

Also where's the sabre tooth tiger and mammoth!? Mamoswine's more of a prehistoric pig with tusks than a mammoth

Shinx and it's evolutionary line must have some relation. Look like lions, and the name Shinx must be a play on 'Sphinx'.
I'd love to new pokemon based on a dolphin, kangaroo, hammerhead shark, and a few others I can't think of due to being tired. Think there should be more birds as well.
Flamingo, pheasant, capercaillie, ostrich, budgie, cockatoo, swan, peacock, bustard. I'm a studying ornithologist so my favourites are the bird/flying pokemon.
EDIT: Also, to people mentioning a jackal/Anubis pokemon, are Riolu and Lucario based on Anubis? That's what I always thought.

D'oh. Completely spaced on ryhorn. Phanpy is nice for a 1st-stage elephant but I was hoping for a large, powerful elephant, more the size of a Mammoswine.
