Thread: The *Next* Pokemon Region You'd Like to See

I would like to see a new region based on Australia and it's diverse ecosystem,but wouldn't mind any part of Europe or China. I think Brasil would make one heck of a region.

They could make one based on Canada. We're the second largest country in the world and we have a very diverse ecosystem.

I want one based off of Australia. Have two or four (very large) coastal areas (about 20% of the region's landmass) where most of the people live, and make 70% of the region be between the coasts and make it include deserts, savannas, etc (and maybe a small town in the center). Then the last 10% of the region be based off Tasmania (and possibly New Zealand too).

But the Great Lakes aren't salt water. It'd be weird to have a Pokemon region without an ocean. I really like the idea of having two different parts, the Elite Four could take place in the UP. The starting town would be in southern LP. It'd be cool to have Chicago or Detroit as the big city. And maybe if they decide to go big enough to cover the whole Great Lakes area, maybe we'll have Toronto as well! :D

My guesses are either Europe or Australia.
Europe is across the ocean from NYC, but closer than Japan. Assuming Gamefreak wants the Pokemon World regions placed similarly to the real world, a Europe-based region would be distinct in itself with a lot of diversity, but still somewhat relatable to Unova. It can even have numerous plane/ cruise connections to Unova. There's room for a large Fake London city, the Channel and the Mediterranean for surfing, Fake Scandinavia/ Iceland for a colder climate, opportunities for some ancient ruins, etc.

Australia is also diverse and has favorable geography. I don't have as good of an argument for it, but that's my second guess. Africa is my distant third.

Some part of Europe, most likely the UK. It'll go well with my idea of a legendary trio based off of the Ghosts of Christmas Past, Present, and Future.

West Coast USA which includes LA, Palm Springs & even Las Vegas. It will be a Hollywood, surfing, deserts and sin city themed.

Tohoku region, maybe as a tribute or dedication to this beautiful region of Japan. And this could serve like a hope or something, that Tohoku region will rise again and be Japan's best travel destination /that is according to their website.

South East Asia which includes Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia & Philippines. Just an inspiration of these countries. It would be kinda like Sevii or Orange Islands.

Europe, back in Japan, Africa, or California. Doubt it'll happen in Gen 6 but i'd be really interested in what GF could come up with for a region based on Africa.

what if they made gen VI in paris???? how cool that would be plus you can go batlle the elite 4 in the Eiffel tower

Finland! They would be forced to make so many ice types

I'd like to see a region directly connected to Unova, the way Johto was connected directly to Kanto. It'd be fun to revist Unova as a post game treat.

madacascar the starter pokemon could be based of a tiger, a lemer, and a turtle and since it is so diverse the pokemon would be totally different and uh you know i dont know a better word so ill say creative.

Probibly California but West Virginia would be awesome (hey thats my home state =P) We'd have so many Grass Rock and Ground Pokemon. We could have a Mothman Legendary a Legnedary based off of Coal and based of Mountians XD

Make something based of Mexico or a desert region, I'd die to see a main character with a mustache.

They are probably going to do somewhere in Europe and the region is probably going to have European style cities.
