Thread: What do you call shippings from obscure manga?

A lot of people don't consider a lot of counterparts outside of Pokespe, the anime, and the games to be their own characters so it seems hard to get them to be named.

I just go with the game names.

Like.. Gold and Black from Golden Boys. It'd be Huntershipping; It's far more similar to the game duo then the Pokespe one.

While I used to think this was fair treatment, it's recently been changed. Black is now his own character and not considered "Kamon" anymore. The only reason the list considered them two people is to compromise on a decision made years ago.

So GB!Gold/Black/Chris are free to be named, whether you consider them the "game characters" or not.

There are actually a couple of manga series with 'ships in their court. Zensho has a small army, and DPA, PokémonCard, and Get da ze! have a handful each. Obviously it's not the same in that respect, because none of those characters are named after they're games like Gold and "Black" are.

I tried to get a name for a few GB pairings, on Serebii, a few months ago and it didn't get through.

Would Gold be considered his own character? Chris?

Yeah, they would.

And by recently, I mean as of the last update. Which was earlier this month.
