Thread: ThundershockShipping (Angie's Shinx + Ash's Pikachu)

As a big fan of the canon crush Angie has on Ash and the possibility of it getting more developed in the future, I thought it was nice to see how well Ash's Pikachu and Angie's Shinx go together.

Anyone else who supports this Pokémon couple and thinks they need more love?


A few hints, more will probably follow soon:

They are both cute Pokémon, and Angie refers in Ghoul Daze to how well their Pokémon can get along.

Later in that same episode, Pikachu protects Angie's Shinx from a ghost with a ThunderShock, also an indication that the two are close. And also gave me the idea for the name for this ship. Searching on Google resulted in no pages with the name, so I think it is safe to claim it for this ship from now on.

I think they are very cute together. And maybe even playing a role in MorpheusShipping. So I support this shipping.

Well, for one thing, we need to know what gender those two pokemon are.

I agree, but there is some discussion about that. In the english dub Pikachu is adressed as male, but in the japanese version, there is no such clarity about it's gender. Pikachu is generally presumed male, but nothing is official about this.

It is possible to take the Diamond/Pearl/Platinum games as a reference, but not everything that is true in the games, also applies to the anime. Sometimes Pokémon are hit by attacks they have full resistance to in the games.

Who cares? Pokémon can experience gay love too.

Ummmmm....... I must agree to that but I don't think that they will put gay pokemon in a kids show.

Although Palletshippers and supporters of other gay ships may disagree, I think this show will never openly support gay love...

Anyway, if Shinx and Pikachu are both male (judging on "evidence" from the DS-games they are) then I'd settle for best friends, so the romantic ship will become a friendship. Both can support a romantic ship between their trainers.

It's probably yaoi,considering Shinx has no gender difference,however I think Pikachu's female but..

Anyway,then again,the sister Shinx in the MD2 anime didn't have one.

Well, there is a possibility, but I think yes and no.

Shinx is male... just read in Bulpapedia about Shinx... there is a gender difference... and Pikachu is male too, since Bunneary has a crush on it :D
