Thread: Shippings involving Morty

I'm thinking of writing a shipping fanfic with Morty (my favourite human character in Pokemon) as one of the leads. But I'm not sure who to pair him with.

I want to pair him with a female character. I was thinking Jasmine, or possibly Whitney. I'm leaning more toward Jasmine, but I don't know if others will think it's a good match. Whitney could work, but I'm not really a fan of hers. I don't know if I want to do an OC, since I'm not good with thinking up OCs. Who do you think I should pair Morty with?

And if you're a fan of any shippings involving Morty (be it with a male or female character), this is the place to go.

I can't recall any memorable interactions with women he had in any canon to be honest...I think that he and Caitlin would look good together, but they're from different regions, so I dunno how far you want to stretch this story.

My favorite shipping with Morty is SacredShipping (Morty x Eusine). Not the most original ship, but it's so cute. The way Morty is able to put up with a person who's totally crushing on a legendary dog-thing is beyond me. TRUE FRIENDS :D

Sacredshipping sounds absolutely adorable. But the way things are going, Eusine seems a bit more obsessed with Suicune than any human beings.

What about morty and his genger?

I'm in that club where Sacredshipping happened, and then stopped happening because Eusine's a dick and unemotionally uninvolved with anything but Suicune, so I support it on that sort of basis, but for the same reason, I don't support it in general, because again, he's a dick and Morty deserves better (because no one deserves a boyfriend like from For Ho-Oh the Bell Tolls).

Especially with Falkner. Or Whitney. Or Surge. Or Winona. Or Brawly. Or Phoebe. Or Will. Or his Gengar. Or a Chandelure. Or himself. That's plausible. Artwork says so, so it must be true.

I'm more into the HonorShipping camp myself (Morty/Falkner), although I can see some SacredShipping, but Morty and Eusine calling it quits. It was the old HonorShipping thread as well as the ToxicBoltShipping thread that led to me signing up here. :X

SacredShipping is definitely my Morty OTP, but HonorShipping has a place in my heart, as well. If only for the reasons Luna mentioned, Eusine is way too obsessed with that dumb dog to give Morty the love he deserves :< HonorShipping was another one of those pairings that I didn't give much thought to until I saw a lot of really nice fanart for it.

But, you know, Morty seems....pretty distant. I'm not sure he'd be too upset that Eusine wants to chase a dog around all the time instead of smoking weed and playing video games with Ghost pokemon all day. Falkner would frown on these activities.

I'm not particularly active when it comes to shipping Morty, but I tend to pair him with Karen or Sabrina...

Spiritshipping - Morty with Jasmine - seems to be pretty popular too.

I usually pair Morty with Ash, as I feel they'd be good influences for one another and help each other grow. Plus, I think it would be good as Ash woud help Morty open up more and becoming more socialable while Morty would actually listen to Ash and communicate on an equal level providing stability to their relationship. Though, I'm not sure what this pairing is called.
