As much as I hate to admit it, I do think they would date other people before they date anyone else. Misty is a little tricky, since I can see her doing so due to Ash's absence, but she is also the one who seems more overtly in love with the other (Ash). She also is the one who has dismissed advances made on her in the past (Rudy, anyone?), indicating that she seems to be waiting for Ash to notice her.

Ash may or may not: he doesn't really seem all that interested in anything like that at the moment, but when he does get interested, I'd like to think that Misty would be the first one on his mind.

But I can see them dating others first if only for the fact that the two of them are so far apart from one another at the moment. If they were still traveling together, who knows...

No!!! Like Misty shown us in one of Hoso episode, she don't want to date anyone (she don't want to betray Ash - I think). And Ash... I hope he remember what Misty did for him (when she was in the group) and he will not do anything stupid.

Like others have stated, I can see them dating other people due to being so far apart and for so long. I think it'd be different for the two of them. Misty would probably go out on dates to have a good time but not really be trying to start a relationship with the guy taking her out, but even then, I could see her having the lingering doubt that she was betraying Ash doing so. Ash I could see dating a girl he meets during his travels and begins to start understanding what love is, but for him, I could see him never finding what he's looking for in a girl till he runs into Misty again. So again, more playful dating with nothing being really serious till Ash and Misty get together.

Amen to our resident 3-headed guard dog!!! Ash & Misty would flirt playfully with some random CODs or somethin', but that would end when they're reunited.

Actually, I liked the movie because it didn't have a kiss. It was just so much more... I don't know. But then again, I am raised with a different culture and each opinion is different. =) I loved Spirited Away because they did mention "Love" even though they were so young. It doesn't necessarily mean romantic love, but unconditional, or even friendship love.

Bringing that to Pokeshipping, I have to say their hints, at least in the Japanese version, can't vouch much for the dubbed version, are extremely prominent. I mean, as a young child, I grabbed onto the shipping. By comparing it to other animes, the writers seemed to be really really pushing it.

I personally would like to see them date other people just to reinforce that they are MEANT for each other. Dating other people might also bring out some feelings to the surface. And plus, how cute would it be to see the two comforting each other after a bad date?? =)

I mean,Ash is not that mature enough but Still,Ash and Misty's romance is the Best,and I think,They're the only pairs that have the most sweetest momments,and I think that they really don't have to go on dating with other person,they're the best couple that needs to be dated,..*just the two of them*

I think if Ash finally started to pursue a relationship he would naturally think of Misty. However Misty doesn't really know how Ash feels and could decide to try and get over him by dating someone else. Then again she might not lose faith in him and move on. I certainly don't want to see them with anyone else other than each other.

Err... Yes and no at same time xD: Obviously they wouldn't because they are totally made for each other <3 And it would be awful that they dated other people :(!. They have to live their first love experiences together <3. And furthermore we could see that they don't wanna date other people, at least in Misty side, (Ash has a lot of girls fallen in love with him but he has never been asked for a date xD)Misty rejected Giorgio inmediatly, the same with Rudy with the difference that she thought in dated or rejected him because she didn`t know Ash's feelings yet xDU. But Misty knows perfectly Ash's feelings and her own feelings now and she wouldn't want date other people <3

Besides, That would be really interesting, in both sides xD. If Ash dated someone inapropiated for him (whatever girl except Misty D:! xDU), maybe that way he would realize that he feels something really special for Misty, something that he doesn't feel for the girl who he was dating and finally, tasting the wrong love (?? xDU) he would notice that he is in love with Misty <3333.
And in Misty case, if she dated someone (Maybe Gary would be the most effective *-*U. My Egoshipper dark side is showing xDDDD), that could make Ash feel jelous and he would realize his feelings (And he would beat the boy who Misty was dating xDDD). And at the end Ash and Misty got together <3333. I had liked that Ash was present when Giorgio asked Misty for a date, his reaction had been amazing!! :(!

But anyway is better that they date each other and nobody else <3 Ash&Misty together until the end <333

Ash? Don't think so. He's like most other shonen leads. The adventure comes first and foremost.

I can't say the same for Misty. I think it wouldn't be strange to see her dating a guy or two here or there. She's obviously attractive enough to gain the attention of guys and since she's fixed in one area instead of traveling around, she would have slightly more time on her hands. I know it's nonrelated but I cringe every time I have to find Misty in G/S/C and now HG/SS cause she's dating some unnamed turd. This isn't to bash Misty but just to portray her in a more realistic light. Many people just don't hold out forever; they move on and experiment as well in relationships. However, them being together in the end? I'll believe that. :)

This is exactly how I feel (even the part about G/S/C and HG/SS).
