Although...it feels a little bit out-of-place reading it in February. But it was still adorable 8D

On the note of fanfiction, I started a one shot, recently. It's not finished yet, but I thought I'd hit you with the idea and see how it goes over:

Because of an accident, Gary Oak no longer remembers his life: his grandfather, his journey, even his own name. He first thinks that those that were close to 'Gary' won't come to see him often while he's in the hospital because 'Gary' was somehow a bad kid. Then he begins to think that because he doesn't act like 'Gary', those that cared about him feel he is a bit alien.

He then up and leaves without a trace.

That's as far as I've gotten. Any ideas on how to make it Pallet-shippy would be excellent, as well as something I could do for the plot to progress. I'd like to get Gary to take on a new persona: I need a name for the 'new' Gary, but he's going to dye his hair and wear contacts. I want him to feel like he isn't who 'Gary's' loved ones knew. I want him to feel a little alienated and feel like he doesn't belong. I want him, most importantly, to feel that he and 'Gary' are separate people. Eventually, I will have him regain his memory, but I want him to, if possible, also remember the time he had as the 'other' Gary, the one that woke up after the accident.

Comments? Critique? Ideas? I'm open to anything.

No, but seriously, maybe Ash could go on a massive hunt to track him down, and finally find him?

Satoshi is really one of the guys who would go "Ohmygosh, my crush has lost his memories and thinks he's not loved! LOVE SHALL SAVE THE DAY! If I can catch him first that is..."

And, I know that this is obvious and not that helpful, as he remembers things, he realizes that that that hot black haired guy is right.

Has the old thread officially kicked the bucket, then? Shame...still, there just hasn't been a lot of ShiShi lately. All I can report is another chapter of my fic, though finding inspiration to write lately has been hard. Your boyfriend disappearing on you for a month, without contacting you in any way, shape, or form and leaving you to worry yourself sick over whether or not they might even still be alive and finally calling them one last time and breaking up with them, and not even getting a response from that, does not exactly lend itself to inspiration for a romantic story. *grumble*

But yeah, the thread has over a month without new posts. Of course, this will probably end up merged, but it's better than an infraction.

Palletshipping is hot. ^_^ Shame that not enough people realize that.

I like the part of the Shieldon episode where Shigeru tells Satoshi that Satoshi's matured. It's very sweet (and recent =P).

Palletshipping isn't dead! D: There's actually a pretty big community, it's just not a really active one for whatever reason. That has its perks, though. At least Gary is in this arc, whereas in Hoenn he seemed to have fallen off of the planet, save near the end when he sent Ash a postcard.

Definitely in Battle for the Badge (or whatever the episode was officially titled), when Ash runs in while Gary is returning from unconsciousness from Mewtwo's attack and holds him. <3 Not a very original answer, but well.
