That's exactly what I was trying to say, LOL. He'd just look more like his game-counterpart, who's appearance I much prefer to his anime self (plz don't curbstomp me, Gary, I still love you).
He'd probably look like this:

It's different than what we're used to, but aesthetically speaking, it's probably better. I don't see why Ash's eye style would change while Gary's would stay 1998.

Yeah, I think he would pull it off better than Ash, I mean if it was really close to the style that artist used, rather than Ash's huge olive eyes. Ash just reminds me of Dora The Explorer now for some reason.

I don't know about Professor Oak, assuming they might want to keep him "classic". Not that I oppose the idea of his makeover, :p. But really, if they changed Ash, who's the protagonist, why not him? Ultimately, it's up to them. I think Prof. Oak would look friendlier.

Well I like that photo, but I thought Gary had brown eyes since he had brown hair since brown haired ones usually have brown eyes. Maybe he has brown eyes in the manga?

Pretty much this. Ash's irises are going to change in the new season of the anime. And we were discussing how this eye-style would look on Gary...
And if he gets a redesign, he needs to appear in more episodes to he can show off x3

@Pikachu: I thought Manga!Green/Blue has green eyes, and Game!Green/Blue has brown ones, like Ketsu said. And I'm fairly sure that Gary from the anime also has green eyes.

I think I'm already used to Ash's new eyes, lol. At first I didn't like the white on his shirt but now I like that too.

I have been working on your prize fic for the contest, but a lot of things keep getting in my way.

I don't like this new design °__° it makes me feel strange *in a creepy way*
But I won't watch the series (only the Gary's episodes) so I think it'll be allright... maybe...
