For another shipping I declare Gold and Silver from the adventure manga.

Ikarishipping and Grassshipping. I especially like the dynamic between Dawn, the sweet coordinator, and Paul, the aggressive trainer.

As much as I do enjoy Ikarishipping in all its cuteness and such, it's hard to see Paul interacting with Dawn as he is in the anime, simply because he is so concerned with pokemon training. But this isn't an Ikarishipping discussion (THOUGH THERE'S TOTALLY A THREAD FOR THAT, YO) so.

It could be either, really. PikachuxPiplup would be a good pokemon opposites attract pairing, as Pikachu is very mature and can keep its cool in a crisis, while Piplup is very hotheaded and wants to show off a lot.

I don't think Pokemon opposites attract as well. Because opposites would be in a different egg group.

However some pokemon in the same egg group still could be oppisite, for example HSOWA skitty and wailord can't get much different from that! also to name another
Zangoose and seviper, even though they are natural enemys they can mate.

Some times I like it, Comashipping is one of them I like.

Opposites? Ikarishipping

Mine tend to fall into two categories: eccentric boy x (relatively) normal and sensible girl and mild-mannered boy x assertive girl (contains a lot of headcanon personalities for PCs).

First category:

CookieShipping: Eccentric, vindictive Harley and normal sweet-natured (anime)May

CrystalShipping (game or manga): Eccentric, flamboyant Eusine and normal, down-to-earth Crystal/Lyra

FerrisWheelShipping: Eccentric, socially-awkward N and relatively normal, well-adusted Ebony (as I call her; I don't like any of her names, White/Hilda/Touko)
(I actually don't particularly like FerrisWheelShipping but it has this kind of dynamic in droves)

Second category:

NewRivalShipping: Mild-mannered Wally and somewhat feisty (game)May

RebelShipping: Mild-mannered Ivory (AKA Touya/Hilbert/Black; I like Ivory better) and bubbly, energetic Bianca

ComfortShipping: Mild-mannered and sweet-natured Gold (I like "Gold" better than "Ethan") and cheerful, fiery, assertive Whitney

RocketShipping: (relatively) mild-mannered James and assertive Jessie

PokeShipping fits this dynamic too, though to a lesser extent than the others.

sometimes i like opposites attract pairings but sometimes I find them too opposite to be functional. For me there needs to be some similaraties otherwise I don't find it works.For example rocketshipping for me works because while they are opposite in many aspects there are also some clearly defined similarities.There is one major opposite attract shipping i don't think works because it lacks those sort of similarties.
