Thread: Omertashipping discussion? Anyone?

Hey, guys, I've a tad bit of a topic:

Do you think after BW058, Chili will ever re-appear (other than at the end of the series) and will it have any contribution to Omertashipping hints (i.e, will Chili say anything about Cress in future?)

This is just to keep us going, before BW058 airs (or way after), as I reckon we're all excited. Then we could move onto the topic of BW058.

Hmm... Well, I certainly hope he will! It'd be a waste if the anime didn't show more of Chili and Cress. I think it'd contribute OmertaShipping hints. In my mind it would at least.

I honestly hope that there's an episode revolving around Cress as well in the future. If he's the only one left I'm not sure how they'd do that unless Chili goes back (WHICH HE SHOULD. GO BACK TO YOUR SWEETHEART, CHILI. HE LOVES YOU.) but.

I know this is a long shot, but I hope that in the event he DOESNT go back and keeps traveling? That we see him in the Unova league. That is something I would love to see.

Failing that though, hopefully they do what they've done in the past with families of main characters and make a special! No Ash or Iris to screw it up, just the three triplets running their restaurant and battlin' people and shenanigans.

THIS IS RELATED TO OMERTA I PROMISE.

I posted on Tumblr about the Omertabits in the episode. I literally said, 'The Omerta, I can't.'

So the following text exchange happened today. and I am taking this word for word from my phone:

Cat: Your tumblr post about Omerta kinda confused me. Are there moments in the ep that genuinely look like they might have the hots for each other, or is it because they were in an episode together? I require serious evidence before I call any of this 'proof'.

Me: Pod was all upset and shit, and Corn was trying to comfort/talk to him. And then Pod ran out of the gym. Later, Cilan called Corn and Corn was really worried about him.

Cat: I'd be worried about my brother too if he ran off somewhere, but that doesn't mean I have some sort of complex. That's what I meant, I thought you meant there were parts that made you think "holy crap this might be legit".

Me: Technically it's not 'proof' proof but it's better than a lot of pairings get.

I MEAN REALLY. I don't know if she's mad that she didn't get any Shizarushipping in there or what, but for real? Like it's gonna become CANON, it's an incest pairing in a series for kids. WE KNOW THEY WON'T MAKE IT CANON GEEZ. We wish they would though.

Let me have my goddamn fun jegus cripes.

Yikes, for real? This is pretty much why it took me so many years to join a community and actually talk about this stuff. There are always those people who take those concepts way too seriously. Shouldn't it be about having fun? *sigh*

I'm pretty sure that anyone who's thought about it for more than a few minutes knows that there is NO way this ship could ever be canon.

BUT STILL!!! I couldn't catch the episode today. :'( Even so, from what I'm seeing, we got a lot of fabulous Omertashipping!!!! :D

Well, if she's tetchy that there wasn't Shizarushipping, that isn't the mature or appropriate way to behave, by trying to deflate its rival ship. Secondly, it's also hypocritical- Shizarushipping is incestual also.
Now, I can comprehend the fact that everyone believed that this would have tons of Shizarushipping moments, and not much (if any) Omerta. Still, it's not a way to act about it.

Anyways, this is the Pokemon Anime. Romance is difficult to find. We take what is remotely shippy and deem it to be shippy. It's not as if we're labelling it canon.

Also, Pokemon Anime- siblings, in one respect, aren't as close (They abandon each other without the flicker of an eyelid sometimes), thus hints still could be like any other pairing. We don't ship it because they're brothers. We ship it because they're a potentially brilliant couple in our minds.

Furthermore, most incestual ships don't have hints. (Okay Petalburgshipping does- but that was spread over the AG series, and Misty x Daisy might, I'm not sure). What we had was amazing, considering it was one episode, and before this episode was ever mentioned, a majority didn't think of Chili or Cress ever appearing in the series other than at the End.
Also, Cress (now I'll have to check this so forgive me if I'm wrong) rang Cilan to check on Chili, albeit Cilan being gone for 52ish episodes without a single call from either side. Yes, Chili did run away, but Cilan didn't know Ash or Iris. They could've been really dodgy; Cilan's "trip around Unova" could've been a "trip around the back of a Black Van", for all they knew.

Hints or not, shipping is about fun. It's not necessarily about hints or evidence.

I'd love it if we ever got to see Chili and Cress battle in the Anime, though it's unlikely.
I think it would be cute and further character development for Chili also.

They should do a double battle with Ash and Cilan near the end of BW! >:3

Yes, that certainly would be a less awkward way to introduce it in the Anime.
I think they'd complement one another- elegance and full-frontal brash passion.

I'm a little late to the party, but I agree with what you all said about the ship not being canon, but having evidence! That's what shipping is all about I think.
Anyways, I haven't watched the episode, because I'm trying to wait for the dub... Gonna be waiting a while. I'm all for spoilers though!

Oh, don't worry, the dub is on BW045 as of yesterday- not too far, but then again, they might take the Christmas/New's Year break, like the Japanese version, so it could be a longer wait than expected.
