The official name hasn't been chosen..I think we'll get the name a few days(..? weeks?) after her appearance

I don't see why we have to wait so long for her appearance.. Pearlshipping was a name that was decided the moment we saw the poster for DP, weeks before the anime even aired. So it'll probably be something like WishShipping, something along those lines, considering the relationship between Ash and the main girl is always sprouted from the name of the series she first appeared in, Pokeshipping, the original name to the series was just plain out Pokemon. Advanceshipping, Pokemon Advanced Generation, and finally Pearlshipping, Pokemon Diamond and Pearl. Z /

Well, the entire fandom is sprouting names for ships, shippers need to agree on one name...And well...That'll take a long time. In the mean time, if you want...

This one is the coincidence name, actually. It wasn't named for the anime series; it was named for the game and Hikari's then-supposed relation to the word Pearl. Trufax.

And Bulbapedia hasn't been updated in four years (their version of the list, anyway). Understandably. The list is (now officially) over 9000 names. That would kill any self-respecting server. ^_^
