If Person A asks, "Does chara X/Z have a name?" and Person B goes, "No, there isn't," Person A technically has brought to the floor a couple they would like named and has control over its future. From that point, it's like the Name It thread: it their decision on its name (whether they select a suggestion or go with one of their own), ultimately, because they brought the couple to our attention first. This was one of those unspoken things that generally went well, until an incident, but never mind that.

Anyone can have a thought first, but if its not on print, a person can't say, "Oh I thought about this before they mentioned it!" because there's no proof. So, yeah, even on this, it's a first-come-first-serve basis.

But what if someone brings up a name, then goes inactive for a long time?

There's a grace period, naturally. It happens. Gotta have respect in the 'shipping niche, doesn't matter where.



And for one of you who frequents this thread (don't say anything, just take it): if you're going to report someone...don't say to them you're the one who did it. Whether you mean to or not, you're looking for trouble to cause and that's not cool for anyone. We do deal with people, even if you cannot see it.

I still see a few flaws in doing that, but whatever.

Eh? I do? Huh. I only asked about it so I didn't think I was involved anymore. I'd be totally fine with it if someone else wants to give it a name.

In that case would "HeroicShipper" be an all right name then? :)

If not someone else feel free to help think of a name? ^^'
it was just the first thing that came to mind when considering they're both very "heroic" characters, lol (not to mention the "Hiro" name thing.)
