In Mega Man V on the Game Boy, the bosses were known as Stardroids and were named after our solar system's planets. It would have been to easy to use the most notable Team Galactic members's names (besides I already did that for SolarSystemShipper), so here's our solar system filled according to the likeliness of the boss's appearences.

Reasons I chose those Pokémons / character are listed in the spoiler :

Benga = Terra (the hairdo)
Gyarados = Neptune (the fins & the mean look)
Klinklang = Saturn (the ring around this Pokémon is the main reason I chose it)
Magmortar = Mars (walking weapon, and Magmortar reminds me of Napalm Man as well, see my avatar for Napalm Man)
Poliwhirl = Venus (Venus ressembles Toad Man in this game)
Solrock = SunStar (the final boss)
Tauros = Uranus (minotaur-like boss)
Vaporeon = Mercury (Acid Armor I guess ?)
Weavile = Pluto (both have cat traits and the fact Pluton was the farthest planet in our solar system, thus one of the coldest if not the coldest until it was dismissed by scientifics)
Zapdos = Jupiter (bird-like droid with an electric weapon).

on a side note there should be a crossover between some of the Stardroids & the Team Galactic higher ranked members

I think all the Eeveelution 'ships that are going to come of this are going to be better off once we know its typing (so if that's your angle, yes it's way too early, so hold off).

If it's not that, are you going to regret naming anything? It's one thing to throw it as an unrelated genner (which I won't stop anyone from doing but please don't in great and flooding droves; I'm serious), but if it's to the starters, deerbird duo, or PCs, I would say yeah, please don't.

Yeah, that was my angle, the lack of a type. No worries; I hope you just don't get flooded with people attempting to naming some ships due to this new Pokemon right now.
