Ah, I see! You can make the clips in Vegas too, if you go to the the trimmer. What I do is I navigate through it until I see a spot I like, and then I type "M" to make a mark. I find the end place and I type "M" again to make another mark. Then I double click between the two markers, right click and select "Make subclip" or something like that. It does take some getting used to, but it's worth it in the end ^^
A common mistake for newbies though is putting WAY too many effects when they're not needed...some of my favorite AMVs have minimal effects and focus on the story instead. Once you've mastered that, then you can play around with the effects ^^
Also, be sure to pitch the song, otherwise, YT might delete it D:

Yeah, i'm avoiding messing with too many effects since its gunna be a long amv it doesn't need THAT many effects maybe just for a few emphasis.
