Thread: Advanceshipping General Discussion

Out of the past 30 posts, only 5 of them have been about Advanceshipping. The others have been about fighting for whatever number post and other stuff that total only 5-8 words per post.

This thread is why I'm beginning to lose interest in Advanceshipping. No joke. D:

What songs do you think could apply to Advanceshipping? If you know an AMV with it, you could tell us the name and point out your favorite parts. (But don't link it!)

I've always had a soft spot for "Back in Time," a song that is part of the soundtrack for the video game Sonic R. To me, it describes May's state of mind while she is traveling through Johto and thinking about Ash.

Nothing of the sort. If we were, you wouldn't be down a spot, you'd be down whole pages.

Only one person deleted a post, within ten of yours. That person deleted it themselves. This means you could not have been the legal 6000th post, but were the proxy 6000th post (#6001; first post of the new page) until that one post was deleted.

What makes us lose your interest in Advanceshipping? I'm curious, not angry at all. I think the 'shipping and its fans should be judged at different levels.

I recently ran across and ADV AMV maker by the name of MewSoul, who used the songs Already Over by Red and Time of Dying by Three Days Grace. Search 'em up on Youtube; they're REALLY good. Don't cry though, because they are somewhat saddening. xD

EDIT: Thanks for the update again, I didn't know what was going on at all really; I just made a (bad) assumption. I realize now how dumb that sounds. xD

Yeah, I should be judging the ship by itself, and not by its supporters. but something about this thread makes it different for me. The AS thread at SPPF is inactive (but judging on the state of that thread before it got inactive, it's more than likely a good thing), so I look at this thread to keep my interest up. But when the thread is either filled to the brink with one-liners of nothing to do with SatoHaru, or with arrogant mindsets and topics (such as the infamous "What makes this ship better than the others?" topic), and other stuff, it makes it hard for me to continue supporting it when this is the mindset of the average active Advanceshipper nowadays.

Advanceshipping was the very first ship in Pokemon that I recognized - I remember that day when I finished Movie 6 for the first time and thought to myself "May is DEFINITELY thinking about Ash with her wish," and since then, AS has had a special place in me (even though I'm more Pokeshipping than anything now). But now, the flame that kept me supporting it has all but been negated recently, not only due to inactivity in watching Pokemon or in the forums, but because of how some of the Advanceshippers here have kind of sapped the fun out of it for me.

I'm used to missing all the fun stuff. I live in a whacky timezone.

But bringing this all back to Advanceshipping, I usually rewatch episodes or movies whenever I get bored. I do it more for May than Advanceshipping, really, but most of my favorite episodes have plenty of both.

if only May would come back on the show and the writers would FINISH with Diamond and Pearl (no offense but diamond and pearl is making pokemon look lame...the show i mean) then i would be feeling much better and there would be much more to talk about here

It's just that I think DP has a lot of great episodes, and Dawn really isn't that bad.

I watched like the first 5 or 7 of DP and thought it wasn't that bad. A bit generic and sub-par to the other seasons before it but not bad. I like Dawn too but from those few episodes I see her as bit too Mary Sue-ish.

They got some good conceps in DP, like Hunter J
