I'll just call you Kite. And as my user title reads, you all can call me Jackie.
But this is very much off-topic.
Here we have a screen shot from Movie 9. Manaphy has used Heart Swap on Jack and Ash. My question: Why Ash? Partly because using Heart Swap on May and Jack would have been VERY akward. Partly because Manaphy feels comfortable with Ash. Manaphy isn't comfortable with Max and, if I remember correctly, Brock too. Its pretty obvious that Manaphy views Ash as a Father Figure. And since it sees May as its Mother...

Well as far as we know, most Pokémon see their parents as the first person/Pokémon they see. As evident from Misty's togepi and manaphy. But he have no idea if they see the second person as the dad, or if they have a father figure at all
If Pokemon do have fatherly-figures, Manaphy would be a great piece of evidence ot use.
May was obviously it's mother-figure, and Manaphy took a liking to Ash. That may mean that it considers Ash it's father?
I'm all for the idea if it gives all the more evidence toward AdvanceShipping! :D

It just hit me. We all know how May is a person of the water (person of the water=singular people of the water??) and Lizabith (don't know if i spelled that right) gave her the people of the waters mark. I wounder whatever happened to it?

Well think about some of the family interactions in the animal kingdom. Bears frequently travel in families without the father (Dad isn't really a family guy...just like to do his bizz), yet other animals, such as meercats, do live with families
(I am not a biologist, so i don't know if i'm right)
Now humans on the other hand for family bonds through experience and time. If a newborn child was the same as a Pokémon, their 'mom' could very well be a doctor saying--"Damn, he's half stuck, someone get a stick of butter and the salad clamp thingys".
Out of the evidence we've seen, Pokémon tend to only identify their mothers as the first person they see and thats it. HOWEVER we have seen Pokémon family's also...
Can we possibly get a screenshot?

This was the closest thing i could find. It is the necklace around Lizabeths neck, but May wears hers on her wrist. http://http://bulbapedia.bulbagarden.net/wiki/File:Lizabeth_and_May.png
