^Same here, I thought that one strong point of Advanceshipping is how Ash and May are very similar ... I have never seen them as opposites...

We're always talking about the "Student-Mentor" relationship , but that's not the only way they interact. They have developed a strong emotional bond between them (the ribbon is just an example of what Ash means to May). Yeah, it all started with the mentor-student relationship, but it turned into a very intimate friendship and if you ask me, it could evolve into a "successful" romance.

The Student-Mentor thing was there only initially. It went on to become a close friendship based on their similarities.

About the opposites thing, i didn't understand it. Misty ans Ash are more like opposites than Ash and May.

you guys are all crazy, i don't remember any kind of attraction between ash and may besides them being close friends (as you can easily tell, ash tends to make tons of close friends and may is no different)

In movie 11 there's a scene where Ash and Dawn together save darkrai, but it's not so 'wow' for us.. Nothing special and normal..

But...

In movie 9 when May and Ash save samiya together we were very excited and it's very special for us.. And there's a scene when Ash save may in (I think) a romantic way.. Not like he was done with Dawn.. Maybe in the next post I will quote what Ash said when she put May in capsule.. *melting*

In all seriousness, they do have some sort of aq trust relationship going on. They're comfortable when making physical contact with each other (Ex: Date Expectations, Grass Hysteria). And it shows that they really are close friends.

Prince/Princess :3 Ash is always saving May (damsel in distress) and May protects Ash from getting hurt and calms him down (reckless prince) xD and then we have Movie 7 where they actually put on the prince and princess costumes ^^

I always wanted to see the manga version of Movie 9! If I'm not wrong, they said there are more Adv hints in the manga than in the movie itself. I would like you to enlighten us with those hints xD
