I see the hints for any shipping as acknowledgement from the writers that there are fans for that sort of thing.

How do you imagine Ash and May's wedding?

A medium sixed one. Not too grand but big enough. I would say the wedding would be in Pallet Town but instead, I say that it will be in Littleroot Town because that where Ash and May met, where May got her Torchic, etc.

About the posts w/ the shippings that r not gonna b canon; I find it satisfying since it's supposed to b aimed at the games than that. Plus we all have our lil fantasy land w/ who gets paired w/ who, but I'm like that! I'm sounding like a hypo since I'm an obsessed shipper*swetdrops* ASH AND MAY 4 LYFE!

PS: To anyone who has read this introduction and the ones before it, are they getting a bit too over the top or should I continue?

I guess I shouldn't be too surprised about the writers not making any Ash ship canon (at least from his POV). Let's face it: Ash is an idiot when it comes to boy/girl relationships. To him, everyone is either a friend or an enemy, but always a potential rival. He's a fighter, not a lover.

That being said...

How do you imagine Ash and May's wedding?

How about having Charizard lead Ash's birds in an Air Force-style flyby? Those are always cool.

I'd imagine that they would have a medium sized wedding, kind of like what Jackie said. Their family and friends would be there. Dawn and Brock would be the Maid of Honor and Best Man, respectively.
Charizard HAS to carry them to the reception and their honeymoon, BTW.

I agree with Daisuke... but I'm fixated on the idea that Pikachu must be the ring bearer... and Glaceon a flower pokemon... lolz

I mentioned that somewhere. Maybe 1 or 2 pages back. I completely agree that Pikachu and Glaceon should be the Ring Bearer and Flower Girl. lol

The only thing that bothers me is that when they say that no main ship will be canon in the end, they don't specify about other 'minor' shippings. I think they refer as 'Main' to the most popular Ash shippings (Poke,Advance and Pearl so far)

Even if romance is not the focus of the show, because it follows Ash's quest, there are canon shippings in the anime...

So what about others shippings, as Orange or Contest? Could they've been made canon anyway because they had nothing to do with the main protagonist anymore? : /

May counts as a main character. Besides, he was the former head writer. The opinions of the writers may have changed. I'm not sure whether they have change concerning shipping though.

If contestshipping became canon, i might have to break out that MOAB i hide a while back (MOAB=closest you can get to nuke without nuke)

^Mother Of All Bombs? I doubt you'll need to use that because I seriously do not see ANY ship becoming canon.

As for the second thing you say, got to agree. they won't make ANY ship canon as to not loss thier fan base as people leave in protest of the canon ships.

May is a main supporting character. Ash is on top of everyone.

But I'm sure they know that they could dissapoint many people if they made any ship canon. But they would dissapoint many people if they decide not to too...

I remember a similar situation , when I read a certain interview with Eiji Aonuma, the director of the last Zelda game; he was asked to make some zelda shippings canon, but he answered that he knew that if he'd do that, there will be many people who wouldn't be happy with it so he won't. And the shippings he was asked about were the most popular ones, so they just don't go with them regardless of their popularity...

We know they care for us shippers to an extent, at least.

I agree w/ Swampert23, Ash is DESTINED to be alone(lol) unless he's willing to activate his hormones(even if he has 1). But who knows if the ships are gonna b canon or not, cuz maybe...just maybe...they'll at LEAST try to imply hints that aren't so blatant, but I'm just saying. In the 1st couple of pages of this thread, there was an explanation about the Terracotta ribbon and how Japan emphasized it compared to roses in America or other countries.X_x<---I'm feeling a bit 'err...' 2day so idk if u gaiz get me or not...

If I were to imagine Ash and May's wedding, their wedding would take place near the Oak Corral(it's a wide open field) w/ everyone whom Ash met during his journey would b attending. Pikachu is the ring bearer while Harley is the Flower girl*shot* Also if Ash were to propose to May, I bet it would be at Lake Valor since the Wallace Cup took place there and that was the time when Ash and May see each other again since Kanto BF.=D
