Thread: Stanler Joke Art

Ok Im going to show most of my art work on here to you guys, this is one of my "joke" pieces of art.

Hehe, good one Ryo-ohki. I remember when you first showed me it, and it's still funny. You might want to make the text a little clearer to read though, it didn't seem to scan very well.

Just to those who cant see what it says
"Look just because my nose is read doesnt mean im called..."

A pretty clean and nice drawing, with a good joke on it. I agree with Ikkarub that the text needs "emphasis". The drawing could also use a little shading here and there. Overall, a really good job.

Welcome to the boards. I'm VLK, probably the meanist person you're ever going to see in the Art Lounge but don't take what I say too personally. Plus most people here really appreciate the artist people, so most aren't as bad as me *Grins*.

Okay, I'm a moron when it comes to jokes but I either don't get the joke, or you put absolutely no emotion to portray it. And I think I get the joke ('Rudolph The Red-Nose Reinder' comparison). Emotions help get a point across better.
Another little nagging point is that for pete's sake, if you're going to draw a straight line, use a ruler! Now if I wanted to be cruel, I could point out all the annoying proportional problems, but I'm not that cruel to do so. The strong point in your picture is the focus and your clean lines, which is a good start.

The idea was VLK that it was to be free hand, like all of my drawings, I do occasionally do draw with a ruler, but at the time I was drawing this I was in bed slowing nodding off from a cokeathon (Coke-Cola). I will take the input though, thanks VLK
