Thread: Skitty, Pichu, Ponyta, and Manga Satoshi

Just a couple of doodles I did over the last few days. I'll comment on each one in the post I attach it to.

First up: Skitty's Cute Charm kicked in, and she's got her opponent totally helpless. Just a cute little pic that I did for the sole purpose of testing out drawing Skitty. Skitty's a rather fun pokémon to draw, and cute as can be, too. ^-^ It's funny, before the R/S Pokémon came out, I had this little character I made up who was a blue kitty named Skitten. Just thought it was funny when I saw the English name.

Cute! But poor Pichu...

This is a quick, quick Ponyta doodle I did. I've been drawing horses all my life, but this one I wasn't trying to make Ponya look much like a real horse, so don't compare the two. ^^;; I exaggerated the Ponyta's muscle a bit, just to make it look fit. I kinda like how the face and hooves turned out, and the fire looks okay, too, I suppose.

Just a pretty much Ono-style pic of Satoshi. I say pretty much because it's slightly different in style. Errr...I made the bill on his hat a little too long, but that was fairly intentional. I had a lot of fun coloring this one. ^-^

Wow, they're both amazing! It looks like you used lead pencils to color and shade the first one, am I right? I'm very impressed. I love the shading on them both, the coloring on the first one, and how you made Pichu look furry. We all know the Pichu line has fur but it's hardly seen or noticed in the anime. Great job.

Actually, I used normal colored pencils and a normal #2 mechanical pencil to draw them both (well, the Ponyta is B & W, but you know what I mean). The Ponyta was one of my Geometry doodles. (Which I probably have 800-900 of, due to the extreme boredom I acquire in that class. Almost all of them are Pokémon, too! How I manage an A+ is a mystery of the ages.)

Oops, that's what I meant. Going to school in Newfoundland, we always called them "leads" or "lead pencils" when we were referring to regular colored pencils like Laurentiens or whatever.

Skitty and Pichu: Oh my, that's adorable! Once again, I'm amazed at your brilliant colouring skills. I just love Pichu's expression there, it looks so sweet - and the pose is really cute! Skitty looks cute as well - both Pokémon are very well drawn. I like the way you've done the purple "aura" there, it has a nice effect and makes the two Pokémon look closer. Oh, and I love the colouring on Pichu's eye, well coloured eyes always give the Pokémon so much more feeling!

Ponyta: I'm not exactly what you'd call a horse fan, but Fire types are my very favourite, and this is an amazing drawing! The face is jut lovely - again, great work on the eye in particular! The black and white is quite effective here, I think it looks even better than it would in colour. I like the emphasis on the muscles, it's nice to see semi-realistic pictures of Pokémon.

Sato-chan with Pikafluff: Aii, aii, aii! How very sweet! I'm absolutely in love with this one, you've done such a wonderful job! His expression is positively heartwarming, he looks a little bashful, which is just too kawaii. ^-^ The jacket is nicely done and, as always, your excellent shading makes the picture even better. The longer brim looks cute too, it makes him look just a tiny bit chibified, like he still isn't quite done growing into the hat yet, awwww. ^~ Aii, ABL wuv!

Aw, it looks so cute, so does pichu. The purple lines around them look really great and somehow I get a foundness of the ribbon Skitty wears. And they are really nice colored

You call that a quick sketch? It really looks amazing! And for most ponyta pictuyes I've seen, this one looks really horse like

Satoshi

It looks really well. Great colored too. And Pikachu looks so cute on it!

Those are amazing! I wish I could do drawings like that :.: I do colored pencil drawings, but they always turn out deformed...yours are perfect!

For some reason I didn't see that pic of Ash the first time I looked...very nice, very nice. Again, I love your coloring skills. I didn't know his jacket was red in the manga. Excellent pic.

Skitty and Pichu: Amazing! Your coloring skills and the texture you gave to this drawing makes it my favorite. I'm truly impressed by your art skills. ^_^ A cute cute drawing.

Ponyta: It's good to see once in a while a realistic pokémon picture, and this one is very good. I love the way you drew the muscles.

Manga Satoshi: Just one word to describe this: Kawaii! Again, your coloring skills are flawless and the shading too. Satoshi's expression is simply adorable and Pikachu looks so cute ^_^

I absolutely adore your pictures. They're very cute, and full of life as well. Nice job with the colored pencils, as well as that shaded/pencil Ponyta ( You can see highlights of muscles and everything ). Nicely done.

Your compositions probably could do with some background, but I do like the designs and in particular your shading. Overall I can't find anything wrong with your pictures, good job.

That's so pretty! I love how it looks semi-realistic... It doesn't look much like a quick sketch. ^_^ It's very, very good...

AWW! I usually greatly dislike Sato-kun, bt you made him look so cute here! The coloring is excellent ^_^
