Thread: Regice, in the rendering everyone hates! (Cel-shaded in other words)

Word of advice: Cel shading takes forever to do. This one in particular took me 10 hours (mainly because I was screwing up and figuring stuff out)

*faints* This one's awesome. I never liked the Regis, but this one looks great!

WOW! O_O It looks great! I've always loved cel-shading, though...the graphics in The Wind Waker still take my breath away. Awesome job!

I don't hate cel shading... ;-;

However, I do like it a lot. It's interesting to see a picture without an outline, and Regiice is my favorite of the three Regi. =D

I have one suggestion, though - if you do more cel-shaded pictures like this, you should probably save it as a .gif file.

Gif takes up more space than jpg when it comes to something like this usually (because this picture uses the same color a lot, compression will be better). Unless there's something gif can do that is better.

Ah. When I saw 'cel-shading', I was actually expecting the type with the thick black outlines. But this is just so much cooler. ^^;

People hate cel shading? Man, I wish I hadn't done my one and only picture here as such, then. ^_~

That Regice is smooooth. Like it's really crystalline-looking. Good job.

That's one cool cel shaded pic! I like the different tones you gave to him and the fact that he doesn't have outlines gives the pic a nice effect.

That's really cool! I myself am not a fan of the Regis, but if I had to pick I'd say this is my favorite one... And you made it look so cool! I really like the fact that there's no outline, it looks really nice and smooth... Nice work!

I'm very impressed. Because you totally neglected to outline Regice, and based on the natural shape, you made the Pokemon look like it was 3D rendered. Which probably means you failed at cell shading but on the plus side, it looks great! Your efforts seem to have paid off.

Qutie nice, really. MAYBE you could smooth the sides of hte lines, but you better not, high chance anybody'd screw up ulness they're using special lines. Yeesh... it's quite a disaster doing cels for me, I've never really tried :x

One thing though you never shaded the braille on Rejiaisu... but it stands out nicely.

I love the cel-shading, it adds a very nice 3d effect to it.
