That only happened in HGSS. I know more than a bit about those three fuckers as I spent about an hour digging through every godforsaken place in the damn region to catch them (damn, if only I'd still had that Masterball), and not once did they appear in water, even Suicune. And back then, they didn't somehow flee after you put them to sleep, either. >_>
