Thread: Triumphant Early Shelving

The Target here has shelved the Triumphant booster packs early here! My friends and I bought them out.
Has anyone else found anywhere that has done this?

Wow, that seems very lucky. Living in the UK, however, we don't get the releases in stores until much later (and only in very few places) as far as I'm aware.

Yeah, people on the PokéGym have also brought this up. Various Target stores seem to be selling the boosters early, as they have done in the past.

The fact that they've done this before suggests the Pokemon Company are alright with it (else surely they'd stop it) which seems odd.

Alienating as large a retailer as Target would not be good for business.

Still, you'd think they could politely request that Target stick to the release date like the rest of the retailers. Ah well.

Sneakily releasing products ahead of release will get word of mouth going, which will mean more people will go to said store to get the item 'early', thus boosting profit for Target, and ultimately, TPCi. For example, flib mentioned that he and his friend brought out the stock they had on display - they most likely would not have done that if the set was released at the normal time, meaning in the end, Target would be more likely to have left over stock come next set.

Actually we definitely would have bought them out anyways, but your point still stands. :)
