Carta Magica will organize the Provincial of Pokemon the 12th march 2011:

Format: Constructed
Registration: 9h00 - 9h55
Start: 10h00
Cost: Free
Prizes: Prize structure as requested by Nintendo, including prizes in boosters for TOP 8 of each age division!
First: 36 boosters + 1 Playmat + 1 Medal +300$ to go to Nationals + Bye at the first round of the Nationals.
Second: 16 Boosters + 1 Medal
Third and fourth: 8 Boosters + 1 Medal
5-8th: 4 boosters
A lot of Prizes will be given at random.

There will be a lot of activities during the event!!!

All judges will be bilingual!!!

There will be a side event during the Provincial of Pokemon.

More information about the 3DS Tournament:

As you know, the tournament is on DS during the Provincial of Montreal.

It costs 1$ to participate, when you pay it, you will be matched against another player. The winner will receive a ticket that we will put into a box. At 7 p.m, the day of the Provincial, we will choose at random a ticket in the box. The name that we will choose will be the winner of the 3DS.

You can participate as many times as you want to increase your chance!

If you are from outside of Montreal, we will ship it to you for free!

So every winners have a chance to win the 3DS for only 1$!!!!

We will post more details on the format of the tournament and the Team rules next week.

So the rules for the Video Tournament are:

If you are 2 players:
You will have a 6 Pokemon team. Battles will be 1vs1 pokemon. All Pokemon will be at level 50, so if you have your pokemon at level 94, it will be at level 50 for the battle, he will keep all attacks but stats will be decreased. Same thing for Pokemon at level less than 50. Stats will be increased.

Mew, Celebi, Jirachi, Deoxys, Phione, Manaphy, Darkrai, Shaymin and Arceus cannot be used.

Mewtwo, Lugia, Ho-Oh, Kyogre, Groudon, Rayquaza, Dialga, Palkia and Giratina can be used, but are limited to two of these Pokemon per team.

The Soul Dew item may not be used

The winner of the battle will receive a ticket, and we will take at random a ticket at the 7 p.m. for a chance to win the 3DS

You can participate in as many battles as you want.

If you find 4 players:
You can play in the Pokethlon

With the same team, you will play at all the 4 competitions.

The winner will receive 2 ticket, and we will take at random a ticket at the 7 p.m. or a chance to win the 3DS
The second will receive only one ticket and the third and fourth will not have tickets.
