TRsRockin shuts down: Webmaster moves on to different pastures

Mandy Nader, known to many as "TR Rose", shut down her fan site TRsRockin last month. The Pokémon-related content it formerly held has been deleted.

Some day we'll all try to log on to the the forums but Archaic will have shut it all down. JK. Archaic would never do that, right?

Um, never heard of that site.

Not really a surprise to me, it was all about cosplay and 1% about glitches for the last 4 to 5 years.

Actually kinda upset about that, I loved TRsRockin, I used to go on it all the time when I was younger and read everything on the glitches and counterfeit merchandise. It made me LOL a lot.

Not surprised, though.

Ah, I have fond memories of this site. They had a variety of fun things (most of them about Team Rocket, of course) and I'm sad to see it go, even though I haven't been on in years. Pity it's mainly because she lost interest in Pokemon. Hopefully the webmasters of Bulbagarden and the other major Pokemon sites are more faithful, or at least pass down their duties to a younger, still-enthusiastic fan with the skills to run a fansite.

Hopefully those aren't in short supply.

It mostly died anyway. Most of the glitching is on different sites now, while it has also been more controversial then ever due to the spread of WiFi. The owner had moved on, and it became a relic of the past with random cosplay pics.

I'm mixed on this.

On the one hand, this is the site that really drew me into being a Team Rocket fan and gave me a lot of good times when I was a babby fangirl.

On the other, the site had a lot of stolen stuff, the profiles of the Rockets were mostly fanon, and once Mandy stopped caring about Pokemon and started doing random NES game articles, it lost a lot of its draw. Honestly I figured it was gone long before now.

I guess such is the way of fandom- fans move on and sites die. Still, it's kinda sad to see something that influenced so much of what I am now as a fan and so much of my fanwork vanish.

Well, thing is, this site has a lot of different people in charge, and the torch being passed every few years. I'd think even if Archaic lost interest, there'd be other people to take over. Besides, if I recall, Bulbagarden wasn't originally owned by Archaic either.

Hey, for all we know, "Archaic" will grow to become a title, rather than the name of a single person.

TRsRockin? I never heard or seen that site ever in my life. X( However this is pretty sad news though.
