It'll be cool. I knew for a while.

How could anyone NOT know they were talking about the dub?
What new movie/game/TV series would start only 2 months after BW came out in Japan?

I wonder if White will be in the anime...
Ive seen some screen shots...and ash looks pretty cool in this version, mabye he finally grew up and is not 10 anymore (After 11 years of the Anime Series)
Just your average, everyday Brony...who has a Fanfiction account
A spin-off.
Not necessarily a Ranger game.
An article with the title "New Pokemon video game... to launch in 2011" suggests otherwise. There was no reason to think this was anything other than the dub.
Quick Question: Why does no one know about these other regions? It's Like every 3 Years Bam New Region WTF?

Well, the show actually goes with the idea that people know about it, it just never comes up in conversation. It is, after all, a LONG ways away.
Game- Come on with the 3DS being released in Japan in February, as well as the Pokemon Company getting the special priority involving the 3DS, how could one not assume that maybe it could be a brand new 3DS game? Especially when Black and White were 'revealed' in January so pretty much only 2 months away, and not everything has a September release. This could've easily have been some spin-off released in June or something.
Seriously Gliscor's no one said something was going to be released "2" months after B/W but still there's nothing wrong with revealing a game "2" months after. Heck it might not be a good game but there was in fact a DS Pokemon game like revealed 1 month after Black and White (the learn "English" or typing game or whatever that I believe uses 5th gen Pokemon, so 2 months being too early is really not a good argument. It could've even been more details on that typing 5th gen DS game.
Movie- Shouldn't we be getting information on the first BW movie, even if it's just location setting stuff, or does that occur after the DVD of the previous movie is released because I'm pretty sure we get some news on the movie at the end of the year. (Though it is only November).
New Television Series- Okay maybe I can't really argue this, but it is entirely possible. With Pokemon pretty much the #1 franchise in Japan, I could've easily saw a new television series, maybe stories that aren't about Ash and co.
But anyway, it's fine, it's all dubbing stuff, nothing to get worked up over. Just the title really was misleading to me. Even if technically I should've known better.
I see I wasn't the only one who was a little mislead by the title also... but to be honest, the "new game in 2011" part was the one that had grabbed my attention, since I already knew what "season" and "movie" they were talking about.
I just love it when people get called out on for being mislead... honest, human mistake, you guys. Good gawd... in reality, news articles are supposed to be misleading in order to grab the reader's attention. Don't call somebody out for being mislead, like they were being dumb or somethin'.

Have you heard of the saying "opening a can of whoop-ass"? I did that once in a dream.... I opened an aluminum can labled "whoop-ass" on somebody, and they disintegrated.

Sigh, so we have to wait until next year for everything. Ok, that's good to know. *goes into hibernation*

Or you know, they could delay the release until all versions are ready and release it worldwide, so Nintendo wouldn't have a tantrum when they find American players can play Japanese games. It's not just simple script translation they have to worry about. Pokemon games probably have the most proper nouns of any video game franchise around, and NoA has the daunting taks of carefully choosing names that will be used for the rest of the franchise's life. They have to go through each pokemon (all 150+ of them), human, town, attack, ability, and item name, one by one, and copyright each and every term. They then have to go through and make sure they don't mix any of these names up with the other thousand or so terms being carried over from previous games.
There's also the matter of getting the North American servers up and running and making sure all the online stuff is ready to go by the games' release.
This all takes time, and six months or so is actually a pretty quick turnaround considering all they have to do.
Pokemon Black and White. Its Pokemon . . . IN AMERICA!
I'm sorry that i'm so slow, but does this means that they will send BW in the US?
So the basic moral of this thread is: Put the word "America" in article titles. Because otherwise, people will jump to conclusions for the two whole seconds it takes to click on an article title and open a new window, and then write paragraphs about how their kneejerk reactions were justified.
I doubt they're overly concerned about impatient Americans with entitlement complexes going on the Internet and whining. The six month delay in the US isn't going to be costing them any sales.Originally Posted by Zeta
