Copy/Paste from my post on IGN:

Am I the first person to mention that the name "Paul" does not suit Shinji at all? I would've guessed his dub name to be something like "Shane" myself...

As for "Dawn" for Hikari...so much for a tradition of always having the girl character's name starting with an "M", eh?

Two girls with names that start with the letter M can hardly be considered a "pattern," much less a "tradition."

Especially when the two girls had absolutely nothing in common in the games, where these names originated. It was just a random coincidence.

Any word on the uproar this'll make at SPP yet?

Their names are awesome IMO. I'm glad people here, on Bulbagarden, don't complain like idiots about everything.

Dawn and Paul fits Hikari and Shinji perfectly!

LMAO. If you check the thread in the anime section there are plenty of people complaining about Paul.

Bulbagarden has just as much whining as SPP does. The only reason SPP has more is because that forum has a lot more active members, while BMG is dead half the time with a lack of activity.

One thing I love about not being "loyal" to one Pokemon website over another, (which is retarded in itself) is because I get to remain impartial and see what goes on at both. There's no big difference at all. People don't "magically" get smarter once they start posting on BMGf.

Heh, the Pokemon fandom as a whole has always whined since the beginning. :D

    Gah... I know. Kinda. XD

But, mind you, some people on SPP are so agressive... I like that forum, and I'm always there now, but some of them are just... helpless. And they don't like people on Bulbagarden, they generalize a lot, which is wrongly pathetic.

    ONE GIRL!
Because only May was a Main character in the game. Misty was a plain NPC.

You sometimes seem to be forgetting that people in charge of many character's dub names are game translators. I remember you blamed PUSA for naming Hinata Solana but she was a main character in Pokemon Ranger GAME. In one of your comparisions, you also blamed 4Kids for changing Blackbelt Nobuhiko's name to another Japanese name (Kiyo). But he appeared in G/S/C and his name is taken from there.
