Hmm, are Puerto Rico and Guam listed as separate countries?

Didn't mean to snap, I just had a vision of thousands of n00bs all complaining that trading with someone two cities away didn't give them "foreign" EXP when they're "sooo different" from eachother.

I wonder what they did with disputed states and the like such as Palestine and Serbia and Montenegro - list them as countries, or exclude them?

Palestine is not listed. Serbia and Montenegro are listed as a single unit.

That will happen between players in Spain, since considering Andalusia and Catalonia are both part of Spain is not well seen by some Catalonians.

The division Zhen Lin mentioned on Spain is a politically based one and not a demographically based one. The latter would be the most representative, but the former is the best they can do. Andalusia is demographically 26 times bigger than La Rioja, but they are considered to be the same.

    Thank you Zhen Lin.

I have just discovered that it's not South Korea that has names for the subdivisions, it's Norway. Anyway...

Yes. The last one is listed as "D.P. Republic of Korea" in the US version.

I guess Greece is listed too, right?
It seems pretty interesting to me. That way, we'll have the opportunity to learn from which country we arrange a trade. Sorry if this is already mentioned, but is the country from which the player is, automatically selected, or does the user have to select it manually?

Greece is listed, yes. You can specify your location by talking to the globe, but where you can set your location to is probably restricted by what version of the game you have.

Unlocked GTS last night. No North or South Korea, just "Republic of Korea." No Iran.
