Global Link website reopens: Downtime exceeded previous expectations

After 15 days of downtime, the Pokémon Global Link website has reopened, with full access limited to players of Black and White.

What has the reception of this been so far - or is it too early to tell?

The details in the news article are were incorrect. It says said "the Pokémon Global Link website has reopened, with full access limited to players of Pokémon Black and White", but no one is granted full access yet. The Dream World section is still under maintenance and is expected to launch a week later on Monday 11 October. This is explained in detail on the official site. [link]

The functions currently open to the public are listed as:

I'm not sure what Anshin Mail (あんしんメール) is, only that Anshin (安心) means "peace of mind", "relief".


Also, I'm not sure whether the Global Link has much to do with the Global Trade Center, apart form connecting people around the world. In-game it seems as though the GTS was reintroduced unchanged, alongside the new GTS Negotiation function which allows you to trade one on one with random people.
