    Default Volumes 4-7

I've been reading Pokemon adventures, but can only afford about 2 every so many months,
I was wondering if volumes 4-7 are worth reading? The character of yellow doesnt really interest me, but do these chapters have any important plot developments involving red or blue?

Yes, you can't understand anything without reading a previous chapter....

well for me, I owned vol. 1 - 7 back from Singapore, when they started releasing them in america unflipped I decided to re buy most of them.... for money reasons I decided to skip the yellow saga, if money is really tight for you I'd just read the Yellow saga online and buy form 8 and on

Yeah, the Yellow arc, being basically original material based very loosely on what little iota of features introduced in the GB Game, was a low point in the series, I'm afraid. Not that it's bad, let alone as bad as some of the stuff in later arcs I've mentioned far too many times, but it's still not the way to go compared to the chapters before and (right) after its time.

You'll still need to know the gist of what happened to understand the GSC or FRLG arcs, though. Just throwin' that out there.
